  • Everytime you want to grab for the bad stuff, do 15 jumping jacks first and drink a big glass of water. I allow myself everything, in moderation. I just don't by big amounts of bad foods- like someone else said, I buy ONE candy bar... or put stuff in our guest bedroom closet (like small bags of chips) so my husband can…
  • Right now my number one favorite is LMFAO "Party Rock Anthem"... it definitely gets me motivated. It's a little cliche, but Kanye West's "Harder, faster, stronger" song is the ultimate PT song for me and my husband.
  • I make sure to get in at least one calcium type of food a day: milk, cheese, yogurt. I know I definitely don't get near what I should. A glass of skim milk every morning is my first goal to increasing calcium intake.
  • How true! It only takes one negative comment to break someone's dream- a site like this is a site for support, not negativity! I haven't run into much, but I just started as well. It's sad that we can't be a supportive community for others!
  • First, it is the most awkward event ever no matter what size, I'm sure- to be lying there naked and exposed as some stranger looks at your girly bits. It's cold, clinical, and scary! I know at my OB/GYN he has these funny posters on the ceiling to try to relax ladies a little- it works a little better than at my old…
  • A tip I do when I get a box of pasta and it says x servings... I get "x" baggies and divide it dry... usually the dry weight is the serving they suggest.
  • hmm... I'm curious as well! I know I usually have between 50-300 calories left every day, whether they are exercise or not. I just started this weekend, but have been eating them, for the most part. I feel that you have to provide your body with the energy and nutrition. Take care of it, and it will take care of you :D
  • I am 26, looking to lose over 100 lbs off my body. I just started this week and think motivation/support are super important! Anyone can feel free to add me :D
  • Well, today is my second day on MFP, but have been on the journey for a while. Kicking it up a notch and getting down to business. Motivation and accountability are huge! Anyone can feel free to add me!
  • Oh, I definitely agree that women are hateful, catty you-know-whats! I was always the fat girl in the group and my skinny friends found it hard that I could be competition for guys or whatever their problem was. You find out who your friends are real quick between the motivators and the downers. YOU CAN LIVE THE LIFESTYLE!…
  • I guess I really have nothing new to add- I have a case of Diet Dr. Pepper in the garage. Every week I bring five inside to the fridge. That's my weeks supply. Sometimes I'm bold and only do 4. I'm cutting down from a regular coke drinker to diet and less than a can a day. Cold turkey was rough for me, like so many others,…
  • Thank you all! I was thinking yes, to eat them- but your so trained to want to stay away from fat that as the number kept going red, I got more scared of it. Human conditioning! Thanks... the first day is confusing, I am already planning tomorrow to set it up to be better leveled!
  • When you wake up tomorrow, be better than today! Little slip ups are a stepping stone to better knowledge- next time you'll know what is an indulgence and will maybe pick smaller portions. Chin up- you can rise above today!
  • I'm not sure I could live that strict of a diet. My doctor has not said anything about it with my PCOS and has merely suggested change in diet and exercise to promote a general weight loss of as little as 10%. I'm sure it depends on how your stacking on the lbs. though. I will be interested to see if this is some sort of…
