I log before or after when I'm with anybody other than my husband or daughter. I don't have seconds on drinks or unplanned desserts.

Grocery store bakery cakes Fake ice cream (Halo top, etc.) Corn Pretty much just stuff I don't actually like.

That's a good development!

Bruises are from broken capillaries. Your capillaries are not repeatedly breaking and healing immediately. It's not a bruise.

My favorite:

Lift weights 4x/wk. On days I lift I aim for 8k steps. On days I don't, I aim for 10k. I've been cycling 2x/wk lately and that usually substitutes for some of the steps.

Ignore any 12 week transformation you see. Honestly, at this point that should be common knowledge. The majority of such transformations are made possible via changes in lighting, photo editing, and the person not being as out of shape as they claim at the start. I've known very fit people who have purposely put on a lot…

You've made a big improvement. But you're not eating 2000 calories. You might be netting it but not eating it. Cut back by 250/day and see how that goes.

How tall are you?
-
It's unlikely that you'd be able to do it for many minutes, though. That's not a slam on you. It's just that jumping rope isn't easy and usually you don't spend that much time actively skipping. Even as a kid I'd jump for maybe a minute or two straight and then it was somebody else's turn, for instance.

Nope, I've not had this happen. I definitely have fewer daily aches and pains but as far as feeling/hearing cracking or popping, I've got nothing.

I don't have a problem with my husband knowing how much I weigh. Even at my biggest. I mean, he saw me naked. It's not like he didn't know I was fat.

A couple of people in my office had under desk peddling things like that. One loved it, one hated it. The one who loved it is fairly short (under 5') and the one who hated it is 5'7". The latter person's displeasure came from constantly hitting her knees on the underside of her desk while peddling. So that's something to…

Is there literally nothing in the world that you like to do that involves physical activity? Work on finding something that you enjoy but, at the same time, I think you need to suck it up and just do it. You are young. Don't take the ability to move around for granted. Daily aches and pains, along with limited mobility,…

I'd switch to maintenance. It will help you get your mojo back. Plus, sometimes giving yourself actual permission to eat at maintenance then helps you to eat less. At least that's how it works for me. I can be struggling to stay within my diet calories and then decide to go to maintenance and, suddenly, I won't be as…

Agreed. Look up "female athlete triad" to read more about it. In short, once your energy availability (total calories eaten less calories burned via exercise) goes below a certain threshold, your body realizes that it is a suboptimal environment for supporting a child and then moves to prevent that from happening.…

Nice! We bought an Airdyne last year and I like it EXCEPT the seat suddenly tilts forward quite frequently. I have to keep a wrench next to it so that I can tighten it all the time. I'm trying to figure out how to make that problem stop and haven't come up with anything yet.

Take a day or two off. Rest, relax. Missing a couple of days a month is not going to be the difference between being fit and unfit. That's how I think of it anyway.

I'd second the suggestion to pick a program to follow. The exercises that I do on my lower body days are: Lower #1 (back) squat barbell glute bridge SLDL leg extensions Lower #2 (back) squat deadlift leg curl goblet squat

There's absolutely no way to ensure that you lose no fat from a specific part of your body. You're going to lose it from all over. If you carry a disproportionately large amount of fat in your upper body as opposed to your lower body (e.g., if you are "apple shaped") then you will likely remain disproportionately fatter on…

Starting to lift weights (or going from doing it just a little to regularly lifting) and changing birth control can all cause water weight flucturations. Yes, that is normal.

ON gold whey has never caused me a problem.

Sounds like you're good. Nothing to worry about!
-
Really? I've never heard of that. Interesting.

Yes, both bad batteries and uneven floors could cause faulty readings. I don't believe that there is a "most reliable" scale. Just buy one and use it (being sure that the batteries are not bad, it's on an even floor, and you're weighing yourself under consistent conditions.)

How are you doing with sticking to your calorie goal? If you are trying to lose body fat, you need to eat fewer calories than you burn. If you're hitting your protein goal and staying within your calories, I wouldn't worry about going over whatever your fat gram goal is.

Cold leftover baked chicken. Or rotisserie chicken.

He needs to eat more and you need to eat less. What is WFPBNO?

What you are doing is fine for your goals. I'm more strength-oriented but superset nearly all of my upper body work. I offset the warm up sets of one exercise with working sets from another and/or rest for 1-1.5 minutes between the sets (e.g., set of rows, rest, set of bench, rest, set of rows, etc.) If your goal changes…

I'd wait this out. Hormone changes plus changing your exercise habits are likely to blame.
