  • Day 6 was done today. It's definitely part of my routine now. Wake up, breakfast, let that settle, shred, log it, chill & shower, on with the day. My least favourite move is jump rope. It kills my calves the second time round in the first circuit. I powered through it today, though, and my endurance is slowly getting…
  • The skewers idea reminded me that at my last BBQ I made a skewer like this: Chunk of pepper (red/green/yellow), chunk of onion, piece of diced turkey and repeat. I also added some mushrooms in there randomly. I'll be remaking those when I get all the food in.
  • Anything without fish (i'm allergic)? I'm having a bbq with my boyfriend on Wednesday so I also need some healthy ideas :D
  • Just finished Day 5 at Level 1. Had my HRM on this time because it came in the post yesterday. 280 calories burned! Oh yeeeah!
  • Level 1 Day 4 complete. The cardio is getting harder, which is really weird. I'm usually quite good at sustained cardio but this is really tiring me out. I'm gonna have to push through it tomorrow morning, for sure! I'm annoyed at myself, slightly, for taking it easy with the jumps.
  • I've heard that you should only eat meat every two or three days anyway so this is a brilliant thing. I don't have any meat in because i've used it all up so for about five days I was living on carbs and vegetables. Lush!
  • I'm allergic to fish. I can eat tuna, though, as long as it's with a little bit of mayo. Tuna and sweetcorn sandwiches are LUSH! I sometimes sneak in a few raisins, if I have some. Sounds odd but really, there's only a slight difference between sweetcorn and raisins. Try it! :D
  • That's awesome :D Tip: Considering you've lost so much weight already and it would be a shame not to acknowledge that, you can add previous weights and dates to your weigh in. If you click 'weigh in' on your main page there's a link at the bottom which says 'edit past entries' or something similar. Even if you add your…
  • Yeah I often have that. I had some chocolate yesterday and an ice cream from the van just to make up the calories - I have to do shopping soon so I'm running out of low calorie snacks. It's actually quite hard not to just settle for the under-eating.
  • Day 3 was harder for me, too. I had to march out the jump rope for a few seconds. That really kills my calves and makes them ache even until the next morning. I'm about to do Day 4 now. I think I need it just to wake me up. Hey ho, it's only 20 minutes...
  • I'm studying Drama but because I'm single honours I had to take an extra module outside the main discipline. Today's exam (and my only exam) is on Christian Theology. It's really interesting :)
  • I've got my last exam today at 2pm, too. I'm first year, though. GOOD LUCK!
  • Well done! When I got down to about 200, I tried on a pair of 16s and they were snug so I knew I had a bit to go yet. I'm now 196 and they fit perfectly. I even got a new pair of 16s and they fit like a glove. I wouldn't say you're very far off that size at all. You just need to find the right brand. George at…
  • Level 1 Day 2 complete. I do love Jillian's way of training. You can tell she knows exactly what she's doing and she loves doing it - and she really cares about her clients. This is my favourite workout DVD yet.
  • Level 1 Day 2 complete. I still love it and my calves are looser than yesterday. Still sweating buckets and looking forward to getting my HRM in the mail so I can check how much I'm burning.
  • Well done! That's fantastic, I know how long you've been waiting for this moment. So looking forward to the moment I see that number on the scale. Not long now... though Jillian seems to be adding muscle to me so it'll be a little difficult.
  • I put it in as circuit training. By the way, I started a thread for people who were starting it today so you can check in on that for support and encouragement :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/96768-30-day-shred-anyone-want-to-join-me
  • That's exactly the one, yes. You've convinced me - I bought it. That'll give me accurate readings for the 30 Day Shred and the different Davina workouts, for sure.
  • I found a few Bowflex HRMs on ebay. So, those don't work with a strap, then? Is that still okay?
  • I suppose the easiest way would be to save each meal then add them that way, rather than all the different things.
  • There's nothing to say how many days you have to stay on each level but yeah that's what I'll be doing.
  • Just noticed this thread. I started 30 Day Shred this morning. CW - 196.2lbs Waist - 35 inches Hips - 43.5 inches Bust - 40 inches Neck - 13.5 inches Left Arm - 14 inches Right Arm - 14 inches Left Thigh - 27.5inches Right Thigh - 27.5 inches Jeans - UK Size 16 Top - UK Size 16
  • I live in Birmingham for Uni, yeah. Haven't been to Woktastic. For sushi, though, that might damage me a bit. I'm allergic to fish, you see, haha. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
  • I find that I have a few calories left over at the end of the day and pretty much get it right to 1200 every day. You can check my food diary if you want - the password is omnomnom If I have a lunch or dinner that consists only of vegetables, it's usually around 150-200 calories for the whooole meal so if I stuck to just…
  • When I read Gillian McKeith's view on food, the one thing I took from her (because her food choices tend to be rather expensive or requiring a blender or more time than there is in the day) was reading packaging. If it has more ingredients in it that you don't know, don't bother buying/eating it. She also brought forward…
  • Hey I'm from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, but live in Birmingham for Uni.
  • Get on Play.com and look for a nice cheap exercise DVD! It's free delivery and the DVD is a one-off cost. Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, which is on its way to me now, is only £5.99. Biggest Loser 2 New Year New You is £5. Alot of the 10 minute solutions (if that's your thing - personally, not mine) are £4.99. OR! You…
  • Being accountable not only to myself but to others on the same journey is definitely keeping me on track. If I could hug MFP, I would!
  • My first workout DVD was a Ministry of Sound Pump It Up one. Not the most recent, the one before that with the mainly pink cover. If you do warm up, tone, cool down, then you avoid the dance routine. That would last half an hour and it's pretty good. The instructor shows you the moves before you do them and tells you to…
  • I'm completely used to reading my scales in lbs alone. It's much more accurate, to me. KG are too large a measure and stone is even worse. I convert lbs to stone using simple calculations. Whenever I'm reading a magazine and it has an article about weight, I always always always convert the to lbs rather than stone and lbs…
