  • Yeah it is...and its shrinking!!
  • Running, I find , is all about pushing past the last milestone. Once you do it the first time you know you can do it again, and again and agian then you will find yourself doing 5ks, 10ks the list goes on. You just have to believe you can do it. Belief doesn't come overnight but it does come the more you run. When it does…
  • Excellent. Thanks so much. I had a weight loss goal in mind too and the formula clarified and confirmed what I was thinking. The regular scale makes sense now because in terms of pounds of 'fat' I am within the heathly range but 17lbs from the overall weight number I had in my head. This means that to get to that number I…
  • Had a look at your diary. Maybe you should track your sodium especially when you haven't been exercising. Plus I'm not sure if you log your water but maybe you're not drinking enough so that combined with your salt intake and no 'sweating' from exercise might have triggered your body to hold on to the water it did…
  • Weight....it can be water (most likely in this case I think); fat or muscle. Its not a huge amount so could be water. Perhaps its better to look at trends rather than discete numbers. I don't think our bodies are slaves to a specific number...... we are way more complicated than that. Let the scale be a 'guide' and…
  • Knew you were a smart cookie! Makes purrfect sense. I AGREE we should forget the 'cups' thing completely. Instead perhaps we shold have a 'wee' colour scale or ticker so that we can indicate at a certain time the colour of our 'wee'.
  • Thank you for this. Sugar is sugar and for diabetics they are all the same. Its true when you read 'fat -fre' you should immediately think 'sugar -HIGH'. I'm not really into yogurt cause i dont eat diary products or meat , except fish occassionally but I do remmebr liking greek yogurt. I think I will go back to having it…
  • My biggest probelm now is trying to 'eat' my exercise calories. Not trying to start a debate on whether to eat or not. I do, around 85% of the exercise cals but with the amount of exercise I do daily its a lot of food to eat. Thinking about cutting back but now that I have developed the exercise habit - long time coming -…
  • Oh I only changed my diarysettings a couple of days ago. Before that it was the standard settings. MFP applied the change for the whole diary so if you look back beyond 2-3 days it looks a little messed up.
  • My diay is open. I used to have three meals a day plus two snacks. I recently changed my diary so I eat small meals throughout the day (24hrs not 12hrs) . I think for me its better to have several small meals instead of a few large ones. This way I keep my energy up ; don't stuff my face...; best of all if I go for…
  • Try using other sources like oat, rice, almond or hemp. Not all soy protein are created equal and perhaps your body would prefer non-soy sources. I used to almost exclusively consume soy but I stopped and discovered a whole new universe.
  • Sooo...I'm not an expert by a long shot and I haven't noted the sources for what I'm about to say but I also seem to remember reading that with protein like other nutrients the key question its the quality of the protein and quantity of the absorption. So the issue might be what kind of protein is easier for our bodies to…
  • No problem Laurie....it was a good read
  • I would say you're doing a lot RIGHT!! Lovely pic....you're going great:smile:
  • Hiya...you need to drink water so that the fibre you're eating...like from the oats...can move through your system. It happens when things get a littel stuck....try drinking your water and see what happens. I'm thinking its not 'water' bloat cause you're not drinking enough I think. Hope this helps!
  • I hear you! I try green tea and jasmine. Or something filling like bran flakes. When that doesn't work I eat what my taste buds ask for then make it up the next day in the gym.The best plan I've found is to decide just not to be stressed .......makes me FAT and UNFIT...... I know that for sure!! I'm still working on that…
  • Me three...MFP is the hands down winner:smile:
  • Great tip. Yeah....its not cheating really...its proper planning! Enjoy the pizza! Hmmm....EXERCISING to EAT...... there are worse things!
  • Hiya..welcome:smile: !! Sorry about the knee. So what's this 'nightclub' cardio...somes like something to try..lol
  • Hiya....London UK here...welcome...
  • Ya gotta eat luv! You love exercise right so give your body the fuel for it. You'll see results try not to stress....it will come off and when it does tankini - here you come. Saw that on your profile keep that in mind...
  • You ahead and buy the new outfit/corset that's your next goal. Hang it up somewhere that is always going to be visible...see how that works...
  • I'm a Veggie and I just started using Hemp Protein Powder a couple days ago:smile:
  • Yay...... Sometimes the scale takes a while to catch up.
  • Like your profile says 'Doing something is better than doing nothing'. Exercise is exercise...keep it up....you're seeing results. You will find loads of different opinions. I wouldn't stress it.
  • I watch it too...sometimes back- to-back -to- back episodes...lol. Keeps me motivated. I don't get disheartened by the losses though. No use comparing besides they are in a VERY, VERY controlled environment. I suppose in the begining a lot of it is water loss too. My Auntie lost over 21 lbs in four weeks without excercise…
  • First thing....why so glum??? I'm sure you have a beautiful smile.... we MFPs would to see it... Here's a BIG smiley:smile: ......welcome to you!!
