Welcome! I have also read that you should try to meet or come close to your calorie count for the day, eating good foods to achieve that goal. If you don't, your body will go to starvation mode and store fat. You need to sustain your body, and these calorie counts are designed for optimal weight loss and health! Good luck!

Welcome and good luck! I know how hard it is to start working out on your own! I actually started working out with a friend a few weeks ago, and she has since dropped out. I am hoping I continue to go strong! Keep up the good work!

I don't know if you have a freezer at work that you have access to, but I have a box of Fla-Vor-Ice Sugar Free Freezer Pops in the freezer at work for when I get those cravings. They are the kind you buy and freeze yourself. At only 3 calories per pop, it is a great way for me to get over my sweet tooth. I listed the…

I always feel like a drug-addict when I am eating and I eat what I shouldn't or I eat too much. Then comes the guilt... *sigh*

Wow! Jmundale and CMriverside, I am so glad you had the guts to talk about what you did! I also have gone through and succeeded with the treatments. I took the peg-intron and ribavarin for a year. I was responding by the first couple weeks of treatment. I was very upset by the news that I had the virus, so I guess the doc…

Hmm...this one is hard... * I love the fact that I have worked out every weekday for three weeks and I haven't lost my oomph yet! * I love my long legs (even though they aren't as toned as they should be) * I am a good listener, a good friend, a good mother, daughter, girlfriend, employee. * I have a great sense of humor.…

Welcome! So glad you're here. Please feel free to message with any questions you may have. The best part of this site is the support from everyone else! Empty-nesting must be great! I'm sure my mom thinks so. I moved back in to save money to buy a house.... :)

Welcome, welcome! I have never tried actual dieting before, so this is all new to me, too. I was pretty bummed. I have been working out for two weeks now and when I weighed myself yesterday, I was a little discouraged because the scale I was using, I had only lost two pounds. I went and bought a new scale last night and to…

Very little improvement?! I have been dieting and working out for two weeks now and I have yet to lose any weight or inches! Exercise is the key for me, along with a healthy diet of course! Keep up the good work. You will be fitting into those jeans in no time!

Excellent! This site just keeps getting better and better!

Wow! Thanks for sharing...my workout partner eats sweet potatoes because she says they are so much better for you than regular potatoes...I emailed her the article!

Welcome! Tell us a little about yourself!

I know exactly how you feel. I bumped my plan down to only losing one pound per week so it isn't such a drastic change. The more I work out, the more I can eat, so it gives me more incentive to work out for a while. My blood sugar gets pretty screwy if I don't eat, so starving myself is definitely not in my plans, and it…

I plan on sticking around. I definitely don't want to count calories for the rest of my life, but the maintenance and the good company will be reason enough for me to stick around!
