  • I personally think that having a low self esteem got me into weight trouble to begin with . One reason that I want to lose weight is to feel healthier and stronger-I think having a higher self esteem is something that many ppl struggle with. Keep it up! You are doing a great job!
  • First year public school teacher-special ed- but my 17th year total. I have gained 10 pounds in the first semester-very stressful . I am hoping to lose some weight as I begin my weight loss journey again!
  • Basically, you need to count your calories and if you decide to eat unhealthy foods, count those too! At the beginning of my journey, I was more prone to eat unhealthy, processed foods. Because I have Celiac, my body actually CRAVES certain foods sometimes. Being malnourished and trying to lose weight have been a difficult…
  • I am definitely in!! I had my fitbit set at 8,000 but I think it is time to up the challenge!!
  • Keep it up! You have lost more than I have (I have logged for 450 days!). Keep it up!!
  • As a person with Celiac, I understand your problem. I have been diagnosed now for about 12 months and my body is still trying to heal. I have cravings and sometimes have to add additional nutrients to my menu. I say that to explain that your body may be missing certain nutrients and therefore often "feels hungry". I am not…
  • So happy for you! I have been logging for almost 450 days and have only lost 28 pounds! I understand your pain. I go 12 weeks without the scale moving and then I usually lose only .5 pounds. I feel healthier and things fit better than before, but it is difficult when others bemoan only losing .5 a WEEK! I would give…
  • Yes- I have tried it! It was absolutely delish! I could not believe it. The crust is very pliable and has almost a "nutty" flavor. It is a little more spongy than regular crust, but if you make it thin, you should not have any issues. I have pics, but not sure how to share them. Here is a link to the picture on my FB: (I…
  • My heart always goes out to people like you because I am just like this. I totally understand how frustrating life can be when your weightloss is slow. I have been logging for over 400 days and have lost only 28 pounds. I have friends who have lost 80 pounds in much less time. While I am happy for them, I began to struggle…
  • Hum... that might be the issue, but my TDEE is around 2300 according to the online calculators. I assumed that was my "maintenance" level of calories. I did lower my calorie goal by 200 yesterday- hope that helps!
  • As a Celiac, I feel your pain! Imagine feeling that way EVERYTIME you eat something with gluten in it! Life is cruel! Hope you feel better!
  • Funny post as it seems that almost everyone is attempting to try the GF trend. As someone with Celiac, though, I must say that there is certainly NOTHING funny about my life and having to go GF. Hope you guys are sensitive to ppl who truly have a medical issue with gluten.
  • In my case, I was DEFINITELY malnourished. I have Celiac disease and was diagnosed a year ago as severely malnourished. I am around 197 pounds now after losing some 28 pounds! My weightloss is also VERY slow because my body is obsorbing the needed nutrients. So to answer your question, some ppl can be malnourished while…
  • I would not skip any weeks on the C25K. I have completed the plan several times and find that as I progress, I have needed the "easy" weeks to increase my endurance. Keep it up!
  • ** down 27 pounds and have a different attitude about food and health! Keep it up!
  • I have been tracking for over a year and have only lost about 27 pounds. Around .5 or less a week. Keep going- we will make it!
  • ** I thought the same thing. With a 2 hour commute and an 8-5 day, it seems unrealistic if I ever want to see my family!
  • On Sunday, I fill my crockpot with boneless, skinless chicken breasts. That evening, I divide the chicken into 4 ounces and place in containers for Monday-Friday. Each morning I grab a container and add one tablespoon of mayo, a few raisins, and a couple of pecans to make a healthy chicken salad. Sometimes I add…
  • Wanting to lose 5 pounds and increase my mileage to 3.5 miles(running) 3 times a week! Total mileage for December for running would be 52.5 miles. Adding in my walking miles, I hope to top 100 total exercise miles!!! Let's do this!!
  • My C25K app asks you to select the day that you want to run. I have not had issues with repeating. I have not repeated more than once, though. BTW, there is NOTHING wrong with repeating several times if you need. Just be sure that you are clicking the correct one.If it still does what you are saying, just go on to the next…
  • ** Two things: First, congrats on the weightloss! You are doing great. Secondly, have you ever noticed that when we are fat, people do not say things like, "I am worried about you". When we have success losing weight, people come out of the woodwork to say that they are worried about us. Funny how that works
  • What a tremendous blessing that is! Thanks for being so willing to help others.
  • ** You can always tell when people have never experienced a migraine- it is NOTHING like a headache! Feel better soon!
  • Before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I had migraines constantly. I was eating "healthy" and had switched to whole grains. Little did I know, that I was killing myself by switching to wheat products. One evening, I had a migraine that was so severe, I felt as if I was having a stroke. I could not move my left side…
  • I have NOT loved running in the past, but I am beginning to love it. I think, for me, the idea of constantly striving for a goal helps motivate me to exercise. I am finding that it is helping my low self- esteem also. Running is partly a mind game and knowing that I am competing with myself keeps me consistent in running.…
  • ^^ This for sure!
  • I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my FItbit One. I chose this over the wristband, because I can easily wear it attached to my bra and no one knows that I am tracking. It really does help me track my steps and also motivates me to move more. I have had it for about 2 months and I think that it is one of the best tools that I have used. The…
  • Place 4-5 boneless chicken breasts in bottom of crockpot. Pour 1/8 cup of balsamic dressing over it. Layer sliced red potatoes over chicken. Layer green beans or veg of choice on top. Pour another 1/8 of a cup of balsamic dressing over vegetables. You may even add 1/4 cup of grated cheese if desired. Cook on low 4-6 hours.…
