When I am out of the house without kids or husband I will sometimes stop somewhere "special" either a convenience store for candy, a coffee shop for a big sugary drink, or an ice cream shop. The other day I was out and thought about stopping for Oreos- my absolute #1 binge food- and I didn't. I would have eaten all of them…

You are awesome, and you can do it! If you tell yourself you can't have something, then your monkey brain will tell you that you HAVE to have it. Tell yourself you can have a tiny bit of it. Also, eventually measuring will become just one more thing for you. I started measuring 5 years ago and although I've taken breaks…

Me too. Even to the gym- I wear tank top sports bras. Year round.

Being able to shop in "regular" stores. And spending a lot of time flexing in the mirror. Weight lifting FTW!

Milk & a protein mix-in is a great way to break-your'-fast in the morning! I love being able to start my day with 18 grams of protein already on my food log.

What do you have your calorie intake set at? For me, I don't lose at all when I'm at "lose a half pound a week" but when I go down to "lose a full pound" the weight comes off a lot faster!

I'm in Harrisonburg- originally from Michigan, spent 7 years in South Carolina between here & there.

I took pictures of my belly. Really. I lost 50 lbs 2 years ago (Weight Watchers) and have gained back 15 of it. While that doesn't seem like much, it's made a big difference in my clothes. I went down from 230 to 179 and now I'm at 188 after staring MFP. I've never done "real" before & after pics, but last week I stood in…

A set back is slipping up, losing focus, getting busy, giving in, getting lazy. A failure is giving up on yourself. You had a setback. Get back on the horse and ride!

Food scale, all the time. Even when measuring with cups, because sometimes there's settling and you get an inaccurate measurement.

I just got one of these and have been wearing it around the house.... I did workout this morning, but my calories burned seems really, really high for just sitting here. Thoughts? I mean, I'm just sitting here, and I'm burning 200 calories an hour. Just sitting here.

Thanks for this reminder today! I'm having a hard time and I just want to give up. :)

I used to live in South Carolina for 7 years and I would recommend Charleston, as well. But you may need a car to get around most of the time- the downtown is pretty close but if you want to get out to the beaches or see some historic plantations you'll need transportation. Also, Savannah, Georgia is awesome, same ideas:…

I love this compliment, because I did have a fat moon face when I started. (2 years, 40+ lbs ago)

When I did my first week of C 2 5K I thought for sure that would be true but now I can run 4 miles- I started it 9 months ago and have run 2 races. I even had to take 6 weeks off because I had my arm in a cast. You can do it!!!

Congratulations! You look wonderful, and so much younger!

You have a family. (cross posted, but you also have a family!)

I've been interested in them as well (and the Up by Jawbone, and Nike came out with one but it's already sold out)... but I sweat A LOT when I work out and the FitBit says you can't get it wet. So that's out.

Roller derby!

If you use flax seed, make sure to grind it just before- if you grind it too soon, it becomes worthless, and if you don't grind it at all, there's no benefit as it goes right through you!

Wow, 10k! That's an aggressive goal! Have you considered your shoes? Road Runner Sports has a pretty good system to help you figure out what kind of shoes you need called "Shoe Dog" http://rrsports.tellapal.com/a/clk/4Z6CPB For a long time I was wearing "good" running shoes- but I had terrible shin splints. I tried…

Healthy or not, calories are calories, and calories are energy. If you take in more than you burn, you don't lose weight.
