body pump is an hour long and roughly 800 reps total. I use 12 lbs for squats, 10s for back rows and shoulder press and 5s for biceps and triceps. I am new to lifting but have been spinning for about a year. I wouldn't recommend doing a 2 hour workout if you are new to both lifting and cardio exercise in general, and it…

I've never done P90x but I do a body pump class followed by spinning and it feels great! I usually go lighter on the weights though and push myself more in spin class. I think you can totally make 2 a days work for you, athletes do it all the time! good for you for wanting to do more

While you are figuring out your diet you may want to consider taking a multivitamin if you don't already. This can help assure your body that it will be getting proper nutrients and show it that it can afford to shed the pounds. When someone has stable and healthy eating habits then vitamins are not necessary but they can…

Snacking is actually great for your metabolism as long as you continue making healthy choices, but I like to set specific snacking times to keep me from going too crazy. I l check the time when I have breakfast and then proceed to have either a small snack or a meal roughly every 2 hours after that. It sounds like a lot…

I have been struggling with the same problem. Increasing calories has worked for me. Also, try taking a multi-vitamin. This ensures you're getting enough nutrients and helps your body realize it let go of the extra pounds without being deprived.

Oh, great idea! I have been meaning to look into finding a daily vitamin. What brand do you take? Congrats on your loss!

I'm right there with ya! I've found that changing up my exercise routine really helped. I used to run every day but it was always the same route, and roughly the same pace, so my body got used to it and wasn't being challenged (even though I sure felt tired after!). This summer I started trying a bunch of different classes…

I do eat after 7 pm. Usually thats when I notice all the extra calories I still need to consume for the day and end up trying to eat them back. Should I try to boost my calorie intake in the morning instead of waiting until nighttime? I don't usually go to bed until midnight or so, so 7 still feels relatively early to me.

Consider purchasing a dry shampoo. I use one from Tresemme that only costs about $5. It sprays on similar to hairspray, so it's easy to use quickly after changing out of gym clothes. I find that it absorbs oil and refreshes my hair, getting rid of the greasy look without having to wash with water.

Great suggestion, thank you!

I know it's important to eat back exercise calories but sometimes it's hard for me to feel hungry enough to keep eating. Any tips for sneaky ways to get in more calories (while still being healthy....the goal is to lose after all!)
