What exactly is the 5 day pouch test? I had gastric bypass in Dec. 2012 and lost 80 lbs originally. Lately, though, I have been gaining and it's scaring me to death. I DO NOT WANT TO GAIN BACK MY WEIGHT. I've rededicated myself this week to eating right and exercising and I'm hoping that will do the trick. I've gained…

Both are good options. I went for the bypass simply because my doctor told me that since the sleeve procedure was relatively new, they didn't have enough information on long-term effects. Insurance companies have just started covering the sleeve procedure in the past couple of years, so information hasn't been available.…

I married into a Greek family and my hubby had grown children and grand children. And since we've been married 3 great-grandchildren have been born. Ya-Ya means grandmother in Greek and the "Great" is obvious. I love telling people I'm a great-grandmother when I'm only 59....I love to see the expressions on their…

I had gastric bypass in Dec. 2012 and it's the best decision I ever made. I had struggled for years to get the extra weight off and it just would not budge no matter what I ate and how much I exercised. After my surgery I was able to get off my diabetes medication, my CPAP, my GERD med, and my cholesterol meds. I lack 5…

I had sleep apnea and used a CPAP (hated it!) until I lost 80 lbs. To be honest, I haven't been retested, but I no longer wake myself up trying to catch my breath. I threw the machine away!! I understand now that there is an alternative to the CPAP...it's some kind of dental device that slips into your mouth (I think kinda…

I'm thinking 50 carbs a day should be low enough.

I have a Polar HRM and LOVE it. Bought a fitbit to keep track of my steps per day and used it for a while but not any more. I noticed that the fitbit didn't calculate calories burned as well as my HRM does. It was always at least 100 cals. lower than the HRM showed. I trust the HRM more than the fitbut, so I use it.

I still can't believe that all of those exercises are just for ONE day! Seems like when we did the last challenges, we only had 4 or 5 exercises to do each day. The long list kinda scared me but I managed to make it through (with a few modifications). Whew! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
