  • lol i love popcorn for this type of snack cuz u can have soo much for so few calories
  • I would suggest a tea or coffee to finish a meal. I personally prefer coffee after an evening meal. It helps settle the food and aftera meal will really trigger that full feeling. I get that a lot people can't do coffee in the evenings because of the high caffeine before bed but than I would suggest a tea. The caffeine is…
  • as an after thought: if you're only working out for 30mins your not really burning very much fat. The human body only starts burning fat as fuel at the 20min mark for cardio exercise so I agree that you should extend your workouts even to just 40mins would be good.
  • Since we can't actually see your food diary it's hard to say anything definitively. The bottom line should be calories in vs calories out tho. What I would suggest is to get more accurate with respect to your calories. If you feel unsure at all about calories consider investing in a kitchen and measure some of your…

  • well that's true and I agree but at the same time, for a woman who is 5'2" 1200 calories is a reasonable amount to eat.... I'm not saying under 1000 is ever really reasonable but as a petite woman I set my goal to be 1200, which I think is fine for me. Sometimes I will be hungry and I usually end up eating more than my…
  • See this right here is the reason I would never advise someone to get plastic surgery and why I would not choose it for myself... What makes you think it would make you happy? Loving yourself isn't only about your body. If you're healthy you should feel healthy which is good in a lot of ways... I love myself the way I am,…
  • This is a great question with thanks giving around the corner for canadians anyway! lol i would suggest politely saying no 'thank you'. With holidays I know lots of different foods will be passed around and I agree it can seem rude to refuse someone's cooking so have SMALL samples of the different foods, and than thank the…
  • wow see i think 6'5" is too tall even for guys! lol of course i'm short soo, it might be because i can't reach them! I'm only 5'2.5" but ideally i think maybe 5'6"...
  • technically its possible to lose weight doing something akin to the twinkie diet. No, its not super healthy. I have the same difficulty and what I suggest is something difficult but simple. Eat more of the healthy foods. Whole grains, lean proteins, fresh fruits and vegetables, should help keep you full and away from…
  • it's hard to say if this is a good life style change. Only time will really tell. When people talk of life style change they mean a change that lasts for the rest of your life. So I guess we'll know if you made any life style change at the end of your life.... Right now it's just too soon to tell. Now when I said good life…
  • What a ridiculous suggestion. First of all everyone, should know fruits are super healthy and it's hard to go wrong when it comes to fruits and vegetables. Second of all, how on earth are you planning on maintaining a diet without fruit? Seriously, do you plan to never eat fruit again? If you do, more than likely you'll be…
  • It for sure makes a huge difference! When your at a healthy weight heels are suddenly doable. I mean there are still ridiculous 6' heels that I'll never be comfortable wearing but other heels suddenly seem a little easier. And those legs you have been working out will look even sexier ;)
  • lol me too! I love breakfast and the fact that lots of other dieticiens and experts says its good for you is just icing on my breakfast!!!!
  • go by the scale. Sometimes a tbsp is different from another tbsp, but a gram is always a gram. Basically if you know your scale is accurate I would go by that, because they would have used an accurate scale but who knows what type of tbsp they used, or what type you are using for that matter.
  • OMG I have the same problem. I dunno what to do. I eat so much sugar. Literally every single day i'm way over the set amount of sugar MPF suggested me at. I mean literally dbl most days. It's terrible...
  • what an interesting post. I like having my diary open for the sake of transparency. I know sometimes in the past i have hidden food, ate late at night when no one else was awake, and slipped into the kitchen without being noticed to grab some junk food. I think this was really bad. I shouldn't feel guilty about eating. If…
  • I can't believe the difference a month and a half has made!!! congrats keep up the good work and you'll be healthy in no time!!!
  • Good for you for kicking the fast food habit but honestly you can find healthy options there. Take a look at the nutrition in advance, it's available online, and pick an option that seems better than the other options. So maybe not the big mac but they do some good salads, leave the croutons, or even there snack wraps are…
  • I have no way to actually count the calories for you because I don't have the exact portions you ate, but it sounded pretty healthy. I don't think it was as many as 1700 calories, but that's just a guess. When I read your description I was thinking it would be about 800-1000 calories, but I don't know how big everything…
  • No offense, but I don't get what the rush is. You need to maintain the new weight with a certain amount of exercise and healthy eating once you get to that weight anyway... I mean I understand wanting to push your self but if your plan is to lose weight than pushing for the numbers to change probably won't do you very much…
  • sometimes weight loss just takes time, Relax you'lll get there eventually. And gaining 1lbs is nothing!!!
  • I don't count small things like gum, mints etc.... The one thing I think I should maybe log, but never do is milk in my tea or coffee. I could have like 3 cups of coffee and 3 cups of tea in a busy day, but I don't put any sugar, just 1% milk. I figure that's probably like 100 cals over a day though. 'Course my calorie…
  • Theres no real spot reduction. IF it's fat than when you lose enough fat, it will go away, partially or completely based on the amount of fat lost.... I would suggest doing triceps exercise to tone the muscle underneath but the fat loss will be based on your overall fat loss from a calorie deficit. Some good triceps…
  • I think the nurse/lady handled the situation poorly. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth because SHE was ungracious about her lifestyle in comparison to yours... Your kids are really young so they havent really developped enough to strongly have their own opinions and your free to indoctrinate them with whatever opinions…
  • Congrats!!! I know sometimes it's hard to see a difference from day to day but ya, you need to consider the big picture! keep working hard and really well done!
  • ya, i don't mind as long as it sounds like proper english. So conversational english is fine with me. What really bugs me tho is the way ppl can be so negative. It's not limited to spelling, grammar and english but comes in so many ways. I come here for support and most of the time I get support, but even seeing a rude or…
  • ya vaccines do not cause autism. They discredited the study that was done regarding that because the physician overseeing the study handpicked autistic kids and claimed it was from vaccination. He was also being paid by an organization that was against vaccinations. In reality, vaccinations have eradicated polio and are…
  • It sounds like your mostly doing the right thing. I would really suggest sticking with it, because theres no need to rush it. Once you do lose the weight you have to keep the lifestyle so don't worry about the weight so much. On another note tho, I would suggest longer, more vigorous workouts. Especially if you haven't…
