The hardest part of running is the mental part. If you think you can't do it, you won't. It sounds harsh, but it's true. It took me three attempts over two years to complete C25k. I didn't succeed until I got past that stupid voice hissing 'you can't do this' in my ear. Last Sunday I ran my first 12k. I hope you find a…

Slow it down. C25k is about endurance, not speed.

"Sweetie, I love this ring. Love, love, love it. But I'm feeling a little guilty because I don't think I got you anything nearly as nice as this, and I'm worried that you may have overextended yourself buying it for me." Say this with big doe eyes. You'll get the reassurance you need, and he'll feel all manly and valued.…

I'm bisexual, married to a man. Some of the comments here, well, responding to them will only make me angrier and that's not what this thread needs. That being said, OP, check out http://www.wipeouthomophobia.com/ it's a good resource as well as a community on facebook. You can get lots of support and ideas there. Best of…

I came expecting a train wreck and found a shiny. Thanks!

My manbeast was 125 soaking wet when we met. He was (is) sweet, charming, and adorably dorky. In the past eight years he's managed to gain about 40 pounds, mostly muscle. I don't know how he's done it, as he eats like crap and only exercises half heartedly, but it can be done. He still thinks he's too skinny. I don't care.

118.4. Just me and the road.

Welcome, new people! 114.9 for me, the road is once again running downhill.
-
103.3. Heading southeast along the Road at a comfortable pace.

Or you could tell her that her constant comments about your weight are hurtful, and that while you know it comes from a place of love, you'd appreciate it if she'd stop.

I started with an empty bar, then worked up adding five pounds each time.

Sadly, you can't target your arms for fat loss. They'll shrink as you shrink. However, if you want them to be stronger and firmer, check out bodybuilding.com They have lots of free routines.

And yet people who believe in fate and predestination will still look before crossing the street. *shrug*

It takes about eight weeks to form a habit, and it's really hard to get back on the horse once you fall. That being said, it's doable. You did something, it worked. Now you just need to get back to doing it, one day at a time. Concentrate on one thing- just logging your food. When you're back in the habit of that, start…

This person is referring to a thread from yesterday that called the microwave a deathbox and advocated getting rid of it. It made for a hilarious read.
-
That's why you stab it a bunch of times, so the cooking gasses can vent and keep it from going boom in the deathbox.
-
I stab the squash a bunch of times with a knife, then pop it in the microwave whole for 5 mins. That softens it up enough that you can cut it in half, scoop the guts, then pop it back in for another five minutes to finish cooking. I've found that once it's halved, if you cook each half with cut side down on a plate it…

You're contradicting yourself. If you're determined, you're motivated. They go hand in hand. Now, go do something, pick a weight program, go for a walk, whatever. Log your food. Then do it again tomorrow. And the next day. And the next day. Make sure you have a rest day on occasion. Wash, rinse, repeat.

94 miles. Almost to the heart of Chetwood.

86- Reached the South-gate of Bree. Left the village and headed east on the road, after a restful night at the Prancing Pony.

82. Barrow-downs continue. Between the Road and the Downs is a hedge. Only three more miles to The Prancing Pony!

One more mile before bed.... 78.75

Have you done your cardio today? If not, go do it. Now.
-
I think what you meant is "I recovered from depression with diet and exercise". Good job, and I'm happy it's worked for you.

77.75. The most western slopes of the Barrow-downs appear far to the south. Y'know, I bet if I put in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and walked to the whole thing I'd make up a lot of distance...
