  • This is great, I really want to start this but would love to do it with others that are "non-rrunners" like me. Thanks so much excited to get started! (but a little nervous too!) :flowerforyou:
  • there is another thread on here with some great recipes for quinoa, here's my favorite. Light cranberry, apple and almond quinoa Ingredients: 1 cup uncooked quinoa, washed well 1 tablespoon +1 tsp olive oil, divided 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup diced carrot (I used 1 medium) 2-3…
  • I'm still not great at getting all the water I need in a day but I do find I drink more when I use a straw...odd maybe but it seems to work for me, especially at work. I just gulp it down without thinking about it being water...still don't love it but I am getting more in this way.

  • So excited to have found this group! I'm 6'1" and so good to read what others with our lengthy gift are dealing with.
  • thanks for this, straight forward and easy (in theory) to follow...now for the consistent application
  • well i'm actually 6'1" but I figure 5"10" is as close as I'm likely to find to compare to with other women. My goal is 150 - 155 which seems in line to what most are saying here.

My sister is a big runner and she says at some point you just break through the point where it hurts and you love it...I'm still waiting for that point but I will keep the faith she's not totally nuts ;) One foot…
  • i'm in i need some mini weekly goals to keep me on track :)
  • I've noticed a lot of people on the boards seem to have mini goals and rewards which I have found a helpful idea as well...I have yet to set mine but following a principle my old boss taught me is that the "only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time". so as I start to fight my elephants I need to break it down into…

  • First congrats on your upcoming wedding...I'm assuming that's the motivator? I was on here about a year ago but fell off the wagon :) and never really got involve on the boards then so I consider myself new(ish). Just wanted to say hi as we have similiar goals and time frame so thought we could keep one another going. Feel…
  • You look fantastic! Congrats to you and thank you to you and your hubby for your service ;) Stay strong, you have accomplished much bigger goals then this so just remember what it took and how good you feel now!
  • I'm a novice rider and did my first century ride last spring. I also hadn't been on a bike in years before deciding to do that! If you start your training now and increase a bit each week I think you could do it for sure! I did my ride around Lake Tahoe with Team in Training (raising funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society…
  • Seriously inspiring, keep up the fantastic work!
