THIS!! Expensive does not mean they are good for you. If you plan on putting down miles, get fitted at a proper running store. I had the wrong shoes when I started, and caused me tremendous hip pain. Got into the right shoe, and BAM, pain gone.

Assuming you are healthy with no thyroid issues.... Take a little more time and listen to your body. If you are exercising, your body will tell you that you need to eat. I don't believe that anyone is to busy to eat. Yes, sometimes meals get skipped, but this should never be a regular thing. I've seen people on here who…

Short answer: No I wouldn't worry about putting it on yesterday though. The fact that any 24 hour period is a "day" is kind of misleading in the intake of calories. Some nights I get called in and work late shifts and makes it sort of weird logging by a "day". Remember, this is an overall lifestyle change. You don't have…

Yeah, I'm just trying to find something that at least works the same muscle group (upper body), and maybe I'll do squats for the lower.

I wouldn't try to do the whole body part, just use it the way the machine was intended. I don't have access to an ergo machine, any other options?

Take it from someone who started this journey at 375lbs. Anyone can jog. I used the Couch to 5K (C25K) program to start and just recently finished my first half marathon. Who cares what other people think.

Don't stretch right after a run. It's best to stretch when warm, not hot or cold. Maybe after a 10-20 minute cool down

I started the C25K at 330lbs. I just ran my first half marathon at 290lbs. The key to the C25K is not trying to skip weeks. Give your body that time to build up your bones, ligaments, tendons and muscles. If you can't complete a week, do it over. Don't try to jump ahead. Overdoing it is the worse thing you can do.

3:10:17 I remember around mile 6, was a hand off for the relays, but saw so many volunteers doing water/gatorade.
