Looks delicious! Have you ever tried putting fruit in it? I was thinking blueberries...

What temp do you roast them at and for how long?

I'm giving it a go. I got in touch with Helloitsdan and he put me at 1900 calories a day, 2500 if I do heavy lifting. Honestly, I'm ready for this. I have been starving myself for a decade and I swear my lack of concentration and brain fog is from starving myself. I'm even going to up my carbs. I have been low carb for 10…

Saving for future reference on how to calculate...

To Dan, Bales, or Lemon, I did my math...BMR 1347, TDEE 1616.4. I used the Fat to Fit calculator and it's telling me that I can eat 2007 calories to get to my goal weight. But that is above my TDEE? Is that right? I am 5'7'', 130lbs. I am trying to get nice and lean. I think I've gotten skinny fat from a 1200 calorie a day…

Fight fair, and right respectfully. There is no need for name calling or criticism. Also, never do anything behind your spouse's back that you wouldn't do if he was right in front of you.

Mine is open. I like to zig zag my carb intake. I pretty much follow a low carb/ high protein diet. Right now I'm laying off the dairy as my husband and I are planning a beach trip in the coming month. Just trying to lean up a bit.

I can't wait to try this...

There was a link at one point on MFP about the discrepancies of weighing your food versus measuring your food. They used 2 examples in the video, oatmeal and peanut butter. Weighing your food is the most accurate. They showed the comparison of what oatmeal looked like in the measuring cup when it was weighed vs measures.…

Feel free to add me. I am a low carb eater. I eat every 3 hours of some type of protein. Diary is open!

Try carb cycling...eat 20 grams of carbs for 2 days, then eat 40-50 grams of carbs for 2 days, then eat 70-80 grams of carbs for two days, then start over. Stay within your calorie range. On your two days of 20 grams of carbs, push the exercise up a bit. Try to eat 120 grams of protein at least per day.

The Pumpkin Mim on Pam's website is fabulous! Talk about pretty much reach your fiber count for the day! I like it because it has the consistency of bread. I substitute 2 tablespoonsful of greek yogurt instead of the cream cheese. I also like to eat 1/2 cup greek yogurt mixed with 1 scoop of vamilla protein powder and 1/2…

I do both. One reason is because when I eat low carb I'm not as hungry. I have to watch to make sure I eat enough. On the other hand, sometimes low carb food is crazy delicious (like Pam's Baked Eggplant recipe). It is higher in calories because of the cheese so things like that you want to watch your portions.

That was fabulous! We enjoyed that thoroughly! Very tasty and easy to make. I will be making that over and over again. Thanks!

Pam, I'm making the Baked Three Cheese Eggplant from your website tonight for dinner! Can't wait!

New MIM to try...I used the Pumking MIM recipe and substituted banana instead! Yum! I left out the cinnamon and used vanilla extract. My banana was really ripe. Not something I would eat often since banana's are higher in sugar, but it was a delicious use for the lone banana on my counter becoming really brown. I think I'm…

When my son was three I asked him if he wanted a grilled cheese sandwich. He said no, he wanted a "boy" cheese sandwich.

I love Greek yogurt mixed with one scoop vanilla protein powder, with a half cup berries, and two tablespoonsful of granola. I also love smoothies that I make with 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1 scoop protein powder, 1/2 cup water, 1 cup frozen berry fruit (Blueberries or Strawberries.) Blend and enjoy. Both are less than 300…

Mine is crunchy, too. I bought the Bob's Red Mill brand.

I just bought some almond flour the other day. I have off of work tomorrow so I will try it and let you know. I'm a southern girl from New Orleans, Louisiana! If I can't make a roux with it then it can't be done! Lol!

One thing that I learned on MFP is... do you measure your food or weigh your food? There can be a discrepancy if you are using measuring cups. Using a food scale to weigh your food would give you more accurate measures.
-
I don't know how much I weigh today. Lol! I was obsessed with the scale and have decided to just weigh once a week. Somehow when the scale would dip below a certain point I would sabotage myself and binge. Now, weigh in is Fridays. And... my shorts are loose!

I just bought some at Walmart...who knew?
I love gumbo and have been thinking about making some, but how do you get around the roux part?? Maybe it it's enough servings the flour won't matter?? Other than that, I think it'll be OK carbwise. I DO like a LOT of okra, though...! And it'll be sad to eat without the cornbread. :(
I wonder if you could…

The Oopsie Rolls came out great considering I don't think I did them right. The muffin tins worked out great but I would spray them with some Pam or use muffin cups. I didn't and had to let it soak overnight. The 14 year old devoured 3 of them. She had a nice low carb meal for dinner! I made her the cocoa MIM this morning…

I'm baking the Oopsie Rolls as I type! I have never done stiff peaks before! I had to google it. I don't think I did them right because I felt like it had a lot of liquid. I folded the cream cheese/ egg yolk mixture. I couldn't put it on a cookie sheet because it was too runny so I stuck them in muffin tins. They look…

Just finished reading the thread. I would love to join your group. I live the low carb life style. I can't wait to try all the new recipes!

I just looked at your diary. You aren't eating enough. I did the same thing for a very long time and literally put my body in starvation mode. I was gaining weight by not eating. I did a bit of refeeding...eating normal without trying to lose weight for a couple of weeks. Then I started tracking my calories on MFP and the…
