Bit weird in UK today, like, on off sun showers...cant get out on the (motor)bike.

^^^^Called it. You cant get ephedrine here anymore, eveyrthing else is just caffeine. Having said that, I do like the buzz you get from Tight Extreme.

Fasted cardio and non fasted cardio have almost no difference in calories burned or fat oxidation levels. http://blog.predatornutrition.com/2012/02/06/should-you-perform-fasted-cardio/ Any small differences one way or another are totally overwhelmed by how you feel. I simply cant train unless Im full of food, literally…

Premade? Pah! You gotta listen to your body and feel what works for you! Ever noticed why there are so many goddamn books, shows and blogs telling you what to do? Cos there are SO MANY different ways to do things. Chances are if you're on here you already know about healthy eating. You know how many calories to be…

If it makes you feel better these days are hard for me too, but in the opposite way. I find it hard to get in the calories I need and always end up missing meals. I get round it (to some degree) by making sure I have lots of 'go-to' meals ready made, so if and when I get distracted or head out there is something in the…

What are you doing to burn 1400 calories? Rowing the Oxford-Cambridge boat race is only 2000! What are you using as a shake? Many powders come in the form of Whey Concentrate. Depending on flavourings they can be anything up to 82% protein. Protein provides 4kcals a gramme. You can make your shake however many calories you…

Great progress. Sounds like you have made some real changes and now you have plateaued out based on those original changes. I find the absolute best way to keep people on track is prepartaion. That is, YOU prepare your food and YOU prepare when you're gunna eat it. It seems that many of the things your are eating are their…

Your muscle gains will always be better if your bodyfat is lower to start with. However, if you find yourself obsessing for months over those last few pounds, go lift some big weights. If you keep your diet lean then youll find that stubborn bit gets eaten by all your shiny new muscle. JU

I have 5g creatine, 5g beta-alanine, 5g l-glutamine, 5g wheatgrass powder and 5ml omega-3. Gives a good buzz, loads of energy too. JU

Youll kill yourself at that calorie intake. Again, why the weight loss? Do you need to lose size? If so, use that a measurement and throw the scales away. Also, what are the details of your workouts? JU.

What's the last 5kg for? DOnt get hung up on your weight. As you play a lot of sport, use that to determine your progress. Are you sprinting faster/longer? Kicking harder? Less prone to injury? THe last 5kg makes no difference, infact you've probably taken on that in water and muscle. I say well done, you've already lost…

First question : why do you want to lose 4lbs? Are you trying to get under a weight class for a competition or boxing match? If not, who cares about your weight. Eat and train so you LOOK good and FEEL good. WIth the amount of training you do you will probably end up weighng more than when you started as your body has laid…

What are you risking? Your weight is only a rough reflection of your health. Weight yourself all the time, you'll quickly see how much your body fluctuates. JU

You legs only weigh 30lbs? Jezze, beware of strong winds :-) Regards, J

Its pretty cool, scientists are unable to locate the actual active ingredient or its effect on the body. Even with this in mind certainly helped me with energy levels. The guy in the shop actually said to me 'Now Sir, have you taken this before, its very powerful' like I was buying LSD or something.... Regards, J

SE asian cuisine is incredably healthy. Eat local dishes (responsibly sourced, you dont want worms or anything) and stick to reasonable portions. Not only will you stay on the wagon but also discover a whole new culture. You can actually buy stuff from guys who drive round on mopeds COOKING AT THE SAME TIME. Awesome. Oh,…

What are you trying to acheive? What is your training routine? Do you play sports? What type of metabolism do you have? EG I eat 350-400g of protein a day, and Im 250lbs with a fast oxidative metabolism. If you are following a 'normal' style nutritional approach then split your calories up by 50% protein, 30% carbs (from…

Its a well peddalled fitness myth that calories eaten at night immediately turn to fat. However, that doesnt mean eat any old calories. If you fit an average profile then stick to a good spread of nutrients, proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and try and make it whole foods. Regards, J.

Gaining two or three pounds over a couple of days is nothing to worry about....I can put on seven or eight in a day. Its probably water or glycogen. Regards, John

I make sure I have had lots of carbs in the day as a run up (ususally train about 3 in the afternoon) then about twenty mins before I go I have: 1 tuna shake 25ml grapfruit juice with creatine, beta alanine, wheatgrass powder, cod liver oil 1 apple in the car on the way over But then i like training on a full stomach.…

Ephedrine is certainly controlled here in Britain. All the fat loss stuff you used to be able to get has had the 'active' ingredient removed. For the record, I would use ephedrine products (mostly the old SAN Tight ) before boxing matches as it would burn fat like nobodys buisness but would dry me out also. Luckly it was…

I measured this a while ago. Basmati rice, long grain rice, 'normal rice' , vermicelli rice noodles etc gain about 200% weight after cooking (i.e is three times heavier). Risotto rice gains about 300% after cooking (ie four times heavier). Measurements on packets tend to be dry weight, unless specified. What this means is…

Yup, morning noon and night. Watch how the weight fluctuates : it'll make you feel more comfortable and understanding if you have a heavier day.... Regards, J
-
From a fitness point of view now is a good time to look into starting/learning a sport or activity you perhaps couldnt do when you were heavier. That way the emphasis is taken off weight and calorie checking. Lets say for instance you decide to take up tennis. Your gym sessions and diet will be geared towards making you a…

Dont isolate your lagging arm. Keep training symmetrically, keeping reps/sets etc the same for both sides. They will even up, but it might take a while. Took about a year for my arms to be the same size (but they are still out by about 1/4"!) Regards, J

Soreness is not an indicator of how well you have worked, dont rely on it. What are your goals? Are you trying to gain muscle? If so you want to 'stimulate, not annihilate'. Just to let you know, I have been lifting weights now for about seven years. I have gained almost 8st in that time, with no chemical enhancements. I…
