1200 is not a strict number as starvation mode is at a different caloric level for each person. a shorter or more active person will have a lower caloric count for starvation mode than a taller or less active person. the best way to see if your daily calories is working for you is monitoring your weight loss. stalled…

common misconception: its incredible difficult for a woman to "bulk up". not enough testosterone in your diet. unless you are spending hours at the gym lifting very heavy weights, you probably won't get much more than toned. as long as you account for the calories, the protein shake won't make you gain weight. a post…

new fat definitely comes off faster than the old stuff. for example, if the first twenty pounds you put on went straight to your gut and the next went to your butt, your butt will shrink before your stomach does. how easily it comes off depends on the life style that led to you gaining those pounds compared to your current…

my biggest qualm about people having cheat days is how quickly can you get back on track? when i first started, i would have a cheat meal, which would turn into a cheat day, which would turn into a week, etc. if you are confident that a cheat doesn't derail you completely, then go for it.

a general multivitamin is definitely something i would recommend. as for the brand, most will do, depending on what you want. something like centrum works fine. asking a pharmacist can help you with this. if you've gotten any blood work done recently, that can tell you what nutrients you are most deficient in.

too little sodium can definitely be a problem. it an electrolyte and its needed in our bodies for ion balance and is used by every cell in our body for every physiological process. the minimum amount a person should have in their diet varies so i would talk to a doctor about the exact amount. 1000 should definitely be ok.…

i still think uggs are the most large scale practical joke of all time. i can just see an Australian's reaction to someone wearing them: (pointing and laughing) those stupid americans! we could tell them overalls are a fashion statement and they'd probably believe us!

i have about 15 pounds to lose too and its a b**** i eat 1200 calories as well but i also eat exercise calories on top of that. what i have found is that eating more is what i need to lose the weight, not less, although you will have to see what works for you. incorporate strength training into your workout for toning.…

what are you taking specifically? if i remember correctly, lithium carbonate increases appetite, not decreasing metabolism so just stay within your calories and focus on foods high in protein and fiber.

I'm definitely down for this. I'm in the low 140's now (142-143) so my goal is to get myself into the 130's.

its the only FDA approved weight-loss supplement but you should still treat it as any other weight-loss pill. Easy come= easy go. and yes, the way it works is that if the fat content of a meal is too high, it will not absorb the excess fat. terrible side effects (oily discharge, very runny stool, etc) even if it doesn't…
