  • A year ago I was eating 1200 calories and dropping weight...it was slow but it was coming off. This year I am eating 1200 calories and I have hit a plateau. I should add that for 6 months I stopped counting calories and when I started again and followed the 1200 calorie plan that had worked for me in the past I dropped…
  • Wow! Amazing transformation. Your post was exactly what I needed to keep me motivated today. Have been hitting a plateau lately and have been discouraged.
  • Hi everyone, This forum has been inspiring. I have recently added weight training to my workout program and am excited to watch the transformation over the next several months. Thank you for sharing your pics. Am always looking to add people to my network to help with the motivation!
  • Hi there, I have had bad knees for years and recommend going slowly with the distance for walking. You can do leg raises and squats at home to help build the muscles up in your quads. Swimming or water aerobics is a good alternative as well. My knee problems have gotten less as I have lost weight...but I still have to be…
  • I married someone from England and spend some of my time there and the rest of my time in San Francisco...feel free to add me!
  • I am close to my goal but have started to weight train to build definition and help speed up my metabolism. Feel free to add me as I am also looking for support with the newly added weight training.

  • My husband and I have gotten rid of processed foods and have been eating all natural foods...though I can't get rid of my coffee creamer, have just limited the amount that I use. We occasionally allow ourselves to have a treat (beer, wine, some cheese, etc)...but have cut it down to one item a week as opposed to everyday.…
  • My grandpa was a fitness guru...he was in better shape than most of my friends. He decided to take a bike ride that he had been dreaming of for years....to cycle across the US. He was hit halfway through his trip by a truck. Most people would have died....he survived and the doctors can only attribute it to him having been…
  • Hi Amy, Nice to meet you! One thing to remember is that being healthy is more about what you eat than exercise...though exercise is a very important element. When I was at my worst health wise I decided that since I couldn't do much more than walk that would be what I would do. I started walking. The first walk (with hills…
  • Hi there! I have also been apart of MFP for awhile....I just started to add people and man has it made a difference! Feel free to add me! Am always looking for people to add that can help motivate me and who I can help motivate.
  • Hi Brittany, You do seem really busy! When things were very chaotic in my life I would make sure to take a break to go for walks (even if only for 10 minutes at a time). Making sure to escape and take time for you, even if only for a few minutes, is important. A good thing to remember that fitness is 80% what you eat and…
  • Hi there, I stay around the 1250-1400 mark everyday. My diary is open to friends. Fell free to add me!
  • Feel free to add me! I am looking for support and to give it. This journey is so much easier with people that are cheering you on. Congrats on signing up for the 5K!
  • Welcome! I too am an old WW person. I joined MFP awhile back and immediately had results....holding yourself accountable (no matter the method) is the key. Feel free to add me if you want some folks in your network as encouragement. Best of luck to you!
  • Feel free to add me as well.
  • Isn't that a great feeling!? Great job.
  • Unfortunately, I think we all do. Different designers can have the same size (e.g. size 8) be either bigger or smaller. I hate it...but have gotten used to which designers I know are a true size. Hang in there and remember to stay focused on what you have lost and how far you have come. Don't let a little sizing difference…
