  • Wow! I should keep an eye out. I'm with you though - what's an egg without the yolk haha!
  • I just work out what I want and how much I can have. If we want to get pizza, I look on the website (e.g. Dominos and Pizza Hut have the calorie break-down of each pizza) and work out how many slices I can eat. Or McDonalds I compare burgers and generally either get a side salad, or just burger with a Coke Zero or…
  • That Poesy bread sounds good! Another great two I thought of was: - Meadow Fresh Live Lite Vanilla pack of yoghurts. They are 75 calories each and yummy flavours! Vanilla Toffee, Vanilla Bean and Vanilla Spice. - Gherkins. They are my saviour at around 9pm on when I start to get hungry but know it's a bad time to eat. I…
  • As am I :) Back on board for the last 10 days and feeling better already! I got halfway to my goal in 2011 and then moved away for the summer and had no internet so put most of the weight back on. Getting all the way this year!
  • I'm out Kumeu ways :)
  • This is fantastic! Thanks for all the tips ladies. Just cranking back in. This year I'm going to get in my best shape yet :) My best low-cal food tips are: - Marmite on toast. Marmite has only 8 calories per serve plus Vitamin B! - Agree with Weight Watchers jelly! - Pams Cassava vege chips in multi-snack packs (can't…
  • Feel free to add me to. MFP friends help sooo much!! You can totally do it :) Rachel
  • You can totally do it! I was going well on here until I fell off too so gotta get back on and lose the final lot. Feel free to add me for support, I could use some extra friends too. I find that it's easier to stay on track when you get more involved (e.g. posting more, finding more friends, using forums) rather than just…
  • Hi :) Welcome! Good on your for taking the next step. This is such a great tool for losing weight, if you stick with it you will get great results. Feel free to add me as a friend. Rachel :)
  • I wish I had an Xbox Kinect they are great! I have to mix it up to keep things interesting too. I do Zumba and have a few different other DVDs at home like pilates, resistance workouts which keep it interesting. I also do Aqua Aerobics once a week with my mum which is heaps of fun. I always thought it was for old ladies…
  • So true that your body type and shape makes a difference though - we are all such different goal weights even though the same height! I am aiming for the 120's as I've been at a healthy comfortable weight at 127 before (although even then I had bits of flab in places!). Might seem a bit nuts but I know my body and I have a…
  • Sooo true! It makes plenty of sense. Barry Sears Zone diet on my reference list haha. It works like magic if you can stick to it, but the problem was it was too hard to stick to!
  • Hey guys :) I'm Rachel from West Auckland and a 23 year old student. SW: 73.5kg CW: 68.3kg GW: 58-60kg MFP is great so far! Awesome having Kiwi friends on here. Rach x
  • Hiya :) I'm Rachel from West Auckland - have lost 5kg so far on MFP and loving it.
  • That's awesome! Way to go! Isn't it amazing how compliments can boost us and give us that motivation to keep going :)
  • How strange! I have definitely experience this! However today I had one with a trim latte and didn't experience that. It must need a little protein with it.
  • Hi welcome :) I'm in the same boat - trying to fit back into old clothes. A bit more than you to lose but same thing. I started right at the top of my healthy weight range and trying to work my way back to the bottom where I liked it.
  • I'm from West Auckland :) Very cool to see so many Kiwis on here! Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • Hi welcome :) This is certainly a great site, you will love it. Feel free to add me as a friend. All the best with your journey! xx
  • So with you on that Tas! I always eat double serving size of cereal plus put a bit of fruit on top! Breakfast is my most important and I sometimes biggest (calorie-wise) meal of my day. It normally keeps me going till lunch with just a piece of fruit in between as I mix oats with a bran / protein cereal to keep me full. I…
  • For my body type I would have to say Jessica Biel as well, Heidi Klum, Megan Fox or Rosie Huntington-Whitely. All slim fit and gorgeous but with the womanly hips! I'd love to look like Gisele but I am NOT built like that! I know if I tried to get too skinny I'd look sick. I guess at the end of the day whatever we look most…
  • I could recommend but I think my snacks are more New Zealand style haha! I buy a brand of nut bars that have very little added so quite healthy. As well as that I also sometimes have carrot & celery sticks with a bit of hummus, sometimes a boiled egg, sometimes a piece of wholemeal toast with a low-cal spread like Marmite.…
  • I've had wine twice this week and still lost 4.7 lb so it's not too bad :) I just make sure I've exercised heaps that day and don't have over 1-1/2 glasses. I googled it and lowest calories was either a spirit with a diet coke / lemonade or else a chardonnay or similar white wine. I normally like red and it does have…
  • It's tricky isn't it! I find I have to eat back at least some of them otherwise my body feels weak and I feel worse after exercising. I generally aim to have 100 calories left over at the end of the day though.
  • I go by tummy fat - if I'm doing plenty of exercise and toning I want to get to a goal weight where I'm not carrying much tummy fat as that's the dangerous area in terms of health. I know by my body that it will never be a "flat tummy" but if I feel healthy and look good in clothes that's good enough. Maybe stick with your…
  • You can now get an all natural sweetener - several different brands made from a natural plant called Stevia. Most products are only around 1 calories = 1 tsp sugar equivalent. I tried a brand called Sweete the other day - it was really nice!
  • Hi Cat :) Im a 23 year old student and looking to lose around 30lb total. You can totally add me as a friend, the journey is much better shared with those who know what it's like to do the hard slog :) Rach x
  • Yes I am so loving Zumba as well! It's such an amazing workout. Thanks for sharing that website, it was putting me way under on MFP when I selected the "dance" option.
