You need to find something you actually enjoy. As for Tae Bo, I'm not really a fan, it doesn't get my heart rate up enough. Yes and no. Yes it does have closed captions, but it does not give you the option on the main menu. I just put it on my laptop and through my media player menu I was able to turn them one. If you are gaining muscle you will gain weight, even if you are physically getting smaller. Also of your muscles are sore, you may be seeing a lot of lactic acid buildup.

I'm also interested in everyone's thoughts. Right now I typically have calories left over, and when I don't, I feel that I am not losing anything. Maybe I'm doing it all wrong?

I love mine! I was worried that the chest strap would be uncomfortable, but I barely even notice it. The only downside I have found is that you have to keep the watch pretty close to your chest (withing armslength is fine, so you will have no problem if you leave it on your wrist).
