I remember my brother and his buds playing this in high school (they were cross country runners). It sure looked like a great workout then... though they made it look effortless.

Plan for long walk after dinner turned into walking around sports store looking at weights and weight benches but up early this morning for 8 miles. Met this months goal... bring on Feb!

1 mile walked and 4 miles jogged with hubby early this morning. So close to goal. Planning a long walk after dinner tonight along the river trail.

I totally agree.. I used to come home and sit in my chair and not want to move except to crawl into bed, now I actually feel alive after work.

I am having my left arm amputated and replaced with a chainsaw. I hope it won't cut down on my 5k times too much.

Setting money aside for mother/daughter/daughter in law bonding day at nail salon/spa the weekend before Valentines and new running shoes and new jeans if I can find some that fit.

I started running at 220 and ran my first 5k at 175 and have never had any issues with my joints. Buy a good cushioned pair of running shoes... I love my asics gels... and listen to your body.

I started running at 220. I am a 5' 4" inch female and I started slow and set small goals. I would walk and then try to run one block without stopping, then one lap around the track, eventually one mile without stopping. I threw a party that day! I am slow and I jog more than I run but I haven't had any pain (besides…

3 miles walking and running tonight...2/3 of my way to goal.

Congrats! I wish I could have done what you did at 17. You should be very proud, you have transformed yourself and your future life! And you look great!

Needed stress reduction tonight and immediately thought of a jog, went 4 miles and then took dogs around the block. (In the past I might have hit up the drug store for some king size candy bars) TIcker Updated

You look awesome and definitely not vain at all to be proud of your abs. Thanks for laying out your strategy!

Someone once said green tea tastes like bottled grandma... and I must say I agree... so I stick with the supplements.

I live across from the high school complex which is 2 miles to run around and that is where I do my jogging mostly. But I am also within walking distance of the city trail system which we like to walk and bike. From a safety standpoint I don't jog on the trail because I often jog alone.

Tonight we are celebrating my son's engagement to the sweetest, most wonderful future daughter in law and I am cooking chicken parmesan, loaded salad, sourdough bread and chocolate dipped strawberries. For those of us watching out calories we will have chicken breasts in marinara sauce, salad and fresh strawberries.

I still cannot erase Helter Skelter and Sybill from my brain even though I have tried.

Jogged 3 and walked 1 mile this beautiful crisp moonlit evening.

Just a thought... but for me fruits tend to trigger my appetite so I try to limit them to after dinner. During the day I try to build my meals around vegetables and lean proteins and fats.

8 miles this morning. 6.2 running (10k) just to see if I could do it and running warm up and cool down.
-
5k race this morning. Cool and light fog, gentle hills and finished under my goal time of 35 minutes.

1st 5k was 39 mins Thanksgiving day, 2nd 5k was 35:33. Running 5k tomorrow and goal is to be under 35 minutes. When I first started running I couldn't manage a 15 minute mile. Goal is to run a 5k every month and eventually be under 30 mins and then run a 10k this Thanksgiving. And where do I sign up for the all downhill…

ditto... I am over on my protein every day and am losing consistently
