I agree with trilikeagirl, calorie science is both time-tested and effective.

I agree with intechpc. Additionally, compulsive weighing daily and worry seem to do more harm than good. I weigh in once a week at the same day & time to try to get an accurate measurement, but sometimes it does seem to take a few weeks for the body to 'kick-in' on a new diet.

Congratulations! On Monday I celebrated my 60th pound lost. It took a lot of time but is well worth the effort. I may have another 5 to go, but the mirror says I'm getting close to goal.

The calorie dairy is where it's at. If you're faithful to it and obey, I have a feeling it's going to work for you as it did for me. Patience is key.

I really like my job. I hesitate to use the word 'love' because I don't think people should use such a strong word for work. I'm a chemist and despite how nice the title sounds, it doesn't make the gobs of money people may imagine. There is a good mix between physical work (formulating large tanks of liquid) and mental…

Thank you for not posting a mush-mush story about being an ideal couple who helps one another through all challenges in life. Kudos for keeping it real and enjoyed the laugh. Congrats on your 31 lb. victory so far by being 'crazy with that thing'.

According to the website, HCG gives you make-up, better lighting and a professional photographer. People will buy anything to avoid hard work. The "lose 1 to 2 pounds a day!" pitch sounds mighty scarey.

3, before that I'm working. At work my mind is on other things and food just makes me feel tired and lazy.

I'd vote for fruits and lean meat. Fruits are good short term energy, meat protein is good for long term. If you're feeling particularly culinary, a mix of the two like Orange Glazed Chicken.

I'm in the same boat. I had 'my own diet' and lost a considerable amount of weight but was having difficulty with the last 10. Also similar, the weekends were/are my bane. Keeping very close track on weekends has been working. I've ditched 'unflavourful calories' such as bread products until I get to where I want to be.…

I'll certainly send a prayer. A wise person once told me, "There's nothing God gives that you and He can't overcome together". Although I've been criticized in the past for praying because of 'blind faith', the reality is I pray because it works as it does for everyone who does the same (James 1:2-18). Please feel free to…
