I too had over 200 pounds to lose to get to my goal weight. To date I have lost 178! I hope that I may be of some inspiration to you when there seems like you cant see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Well to get to my goal weight (when starting MFP) I had to lose 216. I have lost 178 so far. IT CAN BE DONE!
-
I have some of the biggest loser dvds. I REALLY like them!
-
I had NO idea where to begin when I first started. So what I did was I went and bought a lot of the lean cuisine and healthy choice meals. I HAD to get used to portion size first! Then as I learned what was what I slowly added in my own meals.

LOL I posted almost the same thing earlier. I already have the Biggest Loser Cardio max. LOVE IT! But like someone has already said....depends on what you are looking for.
-
LOL just take them back and tell them they are too big...I'm mean if it was just last week...how much "wear" could you have actually put on them?
-
Wow thanks so much! There are several mentioned on here that I've not heard of before. I may have to look into those too!
-
Thanks so much. I'll look in to that.

Hmmm Ive never heard of a forced plateau.... Anyway If you are still losing by all means KEEP LOSING! Most people DREAD the plateaus! I know I did. Your body will soon enough....more than likely.

I SO know what you mean. I have fallen in LOVE with this site and the stepping stones it has given me to lose the weight I have. I still have a little ways to go. But I dont think I would have made it this far without the people and the information on this site! Good luck on your journey! STICK WITH IT is the BEST advice…

I think it depends on how much weight you have to lose. If you have a little to lose then I would say eat some of them. If you have a LOT to lose then I would say NO! Because it defeats the purpose of burning off the calories anyway.
-
Being under on your calories ONE day isnt going to send you into starvation mode! Take a day off if you need to....but if you feel the need to get that exercise in by all means burn it up!
-
I've been tracking my calories a little over a year now. I've lost 175 pounds! I still have a little ways to go but I will always have to track the calories I consume for the rest of my life. Its not a quick fix. Its now a way of life! I always said it was too hard to track calories and a hassle to have to weigh the food…

There are a million and one different websites to go to to find what you want to hear!...or to prove your point. I know what post she is talking about....I read it too! I just go with what works! Not everyone is the same. She was talking about starvation mode...Well I found several different websites conflicting the so…

Its different ....but I use some of the mccormick seasoning...yes seasoning that you would put on meat....i use that on my popcorn....that and a little butter flavored spray to help the seasoning stick!
-
LOL Its just easier to get the 100 calorie bags of popcorn! Its Orville Redenbarcher (sp?) but its says it right on the box 100 calories!
-
175 pounds lost......now.....do those numbers lie? I DO NOT STARVE MYSELF. My plate is ALWAYS full of food. Its just food that it low calorie. I have been on this journey for a little over a year and have continued to lose this weight. My husband has lost over 100! I too have done research and I just go with what works!!…

EXACTLY!!!
-
I dont eat my exercise calories. I never have.
-
I was about to freak out!...LOL We eat a lot of the lean cuisine meals. Thankfully NOT the spaghetti and meatball ones!
-
I have boot camp my booty...LOL I've only done it once and someone kept bothering me while I was doing them but I have to say I did enjoy what I got to do. I liked that I was able to modify some of the exercises. And they start out slow and let you get used to the move before totally blowing it out! I would like to try…
-
I agree!
-
If you are trying to lose weight then dont eat your exercise calories. It defeats the purpose of exercising! Google starvation mode myth.
-
THANK YOU!! I have been trying to tell people this for months!!!
-
I SO know what you are talking about! I have been wanting to snack all day long today! I have done very good despite that fact. My husband helped me to remember how far I have come by sending me a picture of me before I lost weight! That did the trick! He at first told me to drink some water and go to bed. So I thought it…

It doesnt make sense to me either! Its crazy! Its science. Less calories + exercise= weight loss But if you put the calories back into your body then what good did the exercise do. I have heard of the starvation mod. But I think that only applies to people who dont have alot of weight to lose. Me, I still have a good bit…

A victory is a victory no matter how small....or super dumb!...which this isnt!!
-
Yep! Thats the first place I lost mine!!

Your dad sounds like a real jerk! But maybe he was just having a stressful day. I work in a hospital and I know how stressful it can be. But I dont think I could ever tell my kids to get out and not come back! My parents did tell me at one time that if I didnt have a job or wasnt going to school that I would have to move…

I dont know that I would change anything. If the naps arent bothering your daily activites then take one. Being tired is your bodys way of telling you it needs some rest. So give it what it needs!
