Coming from one single mom of an awesome boy to another: you ROCK! :)

I read these threads a lot, but don't normally comment. I had to comment on this though - you are amazingly inspiring! I've hit a plateau recently and reading threads like these kick me back in gear. Amazing! Congratulations, you kick *kitten*! :)

Same here!

GREAT JOB! I'm just a little ways up the road from you, about midway between Dayton and Cincy.

Thank goodness for all of those walks I took on vacation! I am 2 miles away from my initial goal of 50 miles, and I will hit that tonight. Now I'm aiming for that stretch goal of 100.

Work in progress, but here it goes. Before, April 2012 Before, August 2012 Before, September 2012 Recent: 6 weeks ago Most current, 3 weeks ago (27 lb down) I really, really, really wish I had taken measurements when I started!

Hi, all! I am Jill, 35yo, and live in southwest Ohio. My mare is a registered 18yo North American Spotted Draft (her sire and dam were PerchxPaint) and she rocks! She's 15.2, around 1200lb, and just the best partner I could've ever imagined. I've done about everything with her: fun shows, western, dressage, hunter…

I had the same problem...and don't laugh at me...but I had a new tube of diaper rash stuff in my tack box (just in case, for scratches) and decided "hey, why not?" Don't laugh - it worked! :)

Gosh, this is a really hard spot! I'd say let Snazzy go to the lady, but then again you hear so many horror stories about "perfect homes" turning into the perfect nightmare. :( Is there any way you could free lease Snazzy to this lady? It's not the perfect situation, but it might help you keep track of him a bit better.…

Yes please - add me!

Well, I don't have experience with the DVD, but I do attend Jazzercise class 3 - 4 times per week. :) Definitely a kick *kitten* workout and so worth every penny for me. I love it, and just have so much fun (never thought I'd say that about working out!). Good luck and congrats on the weight loss!
-
I wear a HRM every class - I do high intensity but am still 60 pounds or so overweight. I regularly burn 700 - 800 calories in regular class, sometimes more. When I do a regular Jazzercise class and then follow it immediately with body sculpting, I burn close to 1400 total.

35yo mom of one almost 9yo boy. Feel free to add me - it's a hard journey as it is, but add in the responsibilities of being a parent (and I'm a single mom at that!), and it can feel impossible. It's so awesome to know that there are others in the same boat.

I speak fluent sarcasm....and my love for ice cream (especially chocolate peanut butter flavor) knows NO bounds....hence the need to lose another 60 pounds!

I've been Jazzercising off and on for the past 20 years, and I'm only 34! :) My mom has been going for longer, and I sat along side for years before I joined as a freshman in highschool. I have left and come back numerous times, the most recent being rejoining on 1/1/13. I aim for 4 classes a week, although sometimes I can…

I was tired of the guesswork, too, so I bought a heart rate monitor/calorie counter to wear in class. I typically burn between 650 and 830 calories in an hour of regular Jazzercise. One morning I did an hour regular class and then Body Sculpting right after - it registered 1330 calories burned!
-
Just for comparison - I am 5'9 and weigh 244lb. I wear a HRM when I do Jazzercise, and 60minutes reads anywhere from 650 to 830 calories burned. I do as much high intensity as I can (one of my knees gets a twinge if I do too much), so some days I'm around the 650 but most of the others I'm closer to 800+.
-
60 minute Jazzercise class at 9:30 this morning. :)
-
Beat ya - I lost 275# on 7/3/12. WOO!!!!
-
Last week, yes last week, I bought a container of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Over a week later and half of it is STILL in the freezer. That is simply unheard of for me!!!

I take a green tea supplement with my vitamins in the morning. Mine is from the vitamins area, not the weight loss area of the store. I actually take it for all of the health benefits, not for weight loss. Plus, the pill version has very little caffeine.

So far this hot hot HOT month, I have walked 12.57 miles, and am planning another 2.85 this afternoon. Good luck all!

I have a 3yo Goldendoodle (Standard Poodle x Golden Retriever) and she is AWESOME! She is ready to go at any moment's notice, but can also totally chill out on the couch. She is WAY more SP than GR, so has a lot more energy and endurance than a GR. I did c25k with her, so she trained and gained endurance right along with…

week 1 goal = 20 miles (walking)

Hi! I saw this group listed on the "newest groups" listing and I'm in! I recently got to week 7 in the couch to 5k and injured myself. I was determined to keep active, though, so started walking as fast as I can....and I realized how much more I enjoy walking! I hate every single second of running, and that makes it even…

Welcome to all the new members!! :) Please feel free to add me.

WEAR THEM! Who care is they are in or out - if you can fit in them, wear them proudly!
-
Yes, I do! I have a 3yo GoldenDoodle (Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle cross), she weighs 68#. We are currently in week 6 of the couch to 5k program, so she's doing about 2.5 miles with me 3 - 4 days a week. As for "training" - I did nothing special to prepare for jogging with her because I instilled leash manners in her…
-
Finish c25k - I start week 6 on Friday (6/1). Ride at least once a week. Continue my mare's conditioning to bring her back in shape. Change my eating habits - 5 fruits/veggies a day, 2 dairy a day, etc

Thanks so much for all of the wonderful comments - today was THE day....and I killed it! :) :) :) It was definitely the most mentally challenging day, but I was able to overcome it and it's done! Today was also the first day that I able to let my mind wander and I wasn't searching for the time. I did look a couple of…
