I was right in front of you in the 9:30 heat! I finished in 1:01. A year ago I could have never done it but so thankful that I did. Awesome experience. I told someone earlier today that it is one of those things that you can DO or spend the rest of your life wishing you had done it everytime you hear someone else talking…

Are you giving yourself time to heal? Wearing the right shoes? etc. Slowing down long enough to heal is tough for those of us who are overachievers, but it pays off on the long run.

Love it! Keep going.
-
Yep, we can tell it - so keep on going!!!! You can do it.

Awesome!! Keep it up!!

Way to go!!

Talk to the trainer at the gym for some suggestions but I agree with the others - focus on strength and run/walk, do videos, etc, to get your cardio in during the other times when the gym isn't an option.

As you can see, everyone's opinion is different. I say the more you cheat, the longer it will take you to reach your goal. Bottom line. So it is a matter of how bad do you want it.

It is also recommended for your nervous system. I used to give it to my daughter before ball games when I knew she was going to pitch the game. I also gave it to her before she took the ACT. I recommended it to my students too. My husband took it before a big jog interview. We swear by it for that reason.

She may not have meant it but I know I "need" it and honestly feel like a drug addict craving/needing drugs. I say that with all seriousness, nothing joking about it. I find myself having to "detox" from the sweets and it isn't easy at all. Once I have detoxed and gone through total withdrawals for about a week or so I am…

Congrats! Your hard work has paid off. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Skinny jeans!

I wish it were that easy but for some of us it isn't. It seems like the healthier I eat the more stopped up I get. It has become a joke between my husband and I that the only thing that works to me to help me get things moving is junk food and donuts do the trick everytime so when I'm stopped up he tells me to go have a…

My thoughts exactly! Although BF is natural so is the act of conception but we don't do that in public. I chose not to BF my 2 who are now 17 and 20 years old and perfectly healthy. I don't bash anyone for BF but you aren't a public filling station so be discreet, please and don't bash the bottle feeders.

Ditto! Relax and enjoy, run your race and ignore everyone else. When you think you can't go any further keep going anyway - you only get one first and you want to look back on it and know you did it! Good luck!

WTG! I finished C25K in September and have done 5 5Ks since finishing. I should be their national spokesperson because before C25K I couldn't have run to my mailbox. Don't worry about time, just finishing. Congrats again!

Congrats and Merry Christmas!

I am struggling with that too. I purposely took off a few days from work so that I can squeeze in some more exercise to offset the eating. I'm ready for the holidays to be over (I know, wrong attitude) just so the food temptations will go away.

Try Jog.fm and see if you can get any ideas. My favorite beat to run to is Shake Your Tail Feathers, not sure why. I like really fast music to keep me pumped. I like the oldies from the 80's too. Morris Day and The Time has some good oldies with good beats. Good luck.

I'm not sure where you are to know your circumstances but for me I suffer from seasonal depression as soon as the weather starts to get cold. It is natural to want to stay home, inside and eat during the colder weather and definitely during the holidays. I had about a 2-3 week period when I really fell off the wagon. I…

Way to go! I will be doing my third one next weekend after never dreaming I would even do one, so yes, they are addicting but that is a great addiction to have. Now when is your next one?

No wonder I was so lost. Thanks.

I would suggest even logging in the diet sodas if you are drinking them to see how much sodium you are getting. It was a real eye opener for me. I highly recommend Fuze Slenderize that are 10-20 calories each. They taste great but they aren't cheap. If others disagree they are free to comment.

Dumb question.......What is a stone?

stay in touch with your doctor and nutritionist, but most importantly, don't give up. Any exercise is better than no exercise. You didn't gain the weight in one week, you won't lose it in one either. Just keep doing what is right. You can do it!
