This thread just popped up on my account and I'm sorry I've missed out on the last 24 days! I turn 40 this year and am trying for pregnancy and will be opening my own medical practice and am carrying about 30 extra pounds. As has been said by others earlier, my food choices and consumption couldn't be any better, but the…

Thanks for the welcome! I was hoping to lose weight before TTC, but given the unlikelihood of success of our surgery, I'm not preventing now, either. And this would be my first, his sixth.

I'll join you. I have had it for several months now, but have no done it with any consistency. I find the workouts a little boring, but I sweat more with them than any video workout I've ever done and feel it the next day, though in the midst of it it doesn't feel like I'm actually working out.

I've been attempting CPto5K for 8 years now...if I had only done a week a year, I'd be there by now. ;) I always get stuck at week 4 and then have to start all over. As soon as my pes anserinus bursitis clears up, I'll be starting again.

I was just thinking the same thing!

I'm in! I'm 199.8 today. I'm completely changing to Forks Over Knives lifestyle (already 70% there), adding some sort of exercise other than walking and hiking, and cutting out alcohol other than a small amount of wine.

Day one for me (time number 3), checking in here for accountability, as I make it through day 3-4 and then just do the eating plans. I just realized my vacation (and first wedding anniversary) is 95 days away, plus I'm starting a Diabetes group tomorrow, so I'd like to be a somewhat good example for my patients!

nevermind. I found it!

This makes me smile. Maybe this will make take #6(?) of CPto5K stick. At this point I have crossed the water on a plank bridge. Hoping to enter Tookland this afternoon.

I'm dusting of the YBB set after about 2 years. I tried to start P90X, but I think I need to be a bit more gentle on myself. I did want to do the "dancers' diet" to start off, but can't find it. Do any of you know where I could get a copy?

I'm split evenly between Clarksville and Memphis.

Wow! When I first read it, I somehow thought it had been 1.5 years, not just 6 months! And all without fads, just lifestyle! You're an inspiration!

I'm restarting CPto5K for at least the 6th time, but this time I have over 40 pounds to lose (That is, more motivation, I hope!)! The closest to finishing was getting started on week 6. I didn't get to do anything for several months, so I'm restarting from the beginning--just finished W1D2--can't believe how hard I had to…

play button's getting dusty...jumping back tomorrow

Day 17 of P90X, and still so sore I can barely move...definitely need the companionship/motivation/support! (also, I'm vegetarian, so the diet is nearly impossible--I tried, but ended up gaining pounds and inches in the first two weeks).

Any other vegetarians attempting the diet? It's incredibly difficult to get even 40 percent protein, and the book isn't really that much help (for instance, they have most of the things listed as veggie alternatives either in the dairy or carb section). Also, nuts don't show up on the "allowable foods", but then are on the…

Started the classic version on Sunday. I thought Day 1 was bad enough, but the Plyometrics just about did me in (and I was only able to do about 1/2 what the video folks did). I couldn't sit down at work today and my patients were asking me if I was ok! Managed to get through the shoulders & chest today, but couldn't do…

Hey there! I started P90X (Classic version). My fiance was going to join me, but after seeing me today after Plyometrics, he has claimed his job is running hot tubs for me after my workouts. :) All that to say, I would love to join in the group. I need all the motivation I can get!

I'm in Chattanooga at the moment--Memphis is my home base while in medical school, and born and raised in Clarksville.
