  • Aldi's own's Trader Joe's? Are their prices similar? I love Aldi's, and would totally shop at Trader Joe's if the prices were what I get at Aldi's.
  • It does, thanks! I might just wait until after Insanity to start my reset, but if I start soon I will definitely follow your advice. If I wait until after Insanity should I also wait until after my rest week to keep things more consistent?
  • It wouldn't mess up my reset then? What if I change on a weekly basis. One week strenuous exercise, next week sedentary, next week moderate exercise? How would I calculate that? Should I just get a heart rate monitor?
  • I'd like to take some self defense classes, as well as have my children take some. How old does a child need to be before taking a self defense class? What type of class should I look for?
  • It doesn't seem that serious, but I've never had a knee injury before so I have nothing to compare it to. I'd really rather keep going, I haven't missed a single day so far. I don't want to make things worse though...
  • I've been feeling 'done' with Insanity as well, but I'm not going to quit! I don't know how I found the motivation, more than once have I been so tempted to shut the t.v. off and crash. Less than 2 weeks to go, we can't give up now!
  • I'm still here! Just about to finish the first week of month 2! I'm sad this board has died down so much, I enjoyed the support. I'm not giving up though, I'm seeing such amazing changes in my body!
  • You could alternate days of lifting and Insanity. I know Insanity is mostly cardio, but it has definitely built my muscles.
  • jamkat-I was thinking about reading that book as well, for future reference. I don't think I would want to try and do weights as well as Insanity, but when I'm done I do want to do something with weights. Did you re-start Insanity?
  • From other threads I've read about Insanity you often don't start to see the weight loss until the 2nd month. I haven't lost any weight yet either, but I have lost body fat, which is really my ultimate goal. Definitely take some measurements.
  • I do add my breastfeeding calories as food, I add 200 calories. I actually haven't been doing EMTWL, but I heard of this group from the main forums and it sounded like sound science. I'm pretty new to it. I just calculated my BMR and TDEE and they are: BMR:1558 TDEE:2689 It (http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ )…
  • If you feel like you can't start over then start at week 3, it's still the same videos. Glad you are back!
  • I've been seeing so much improvement! I've got a 6 pack forming (under my layers of fat) and my endurance has never been this good in my entire life. I was so excited on Saturday because instead of collapsing onto the couch after Insanity like I always do I actually still felt energized and took my shower right away. My…
  • I've been exercising at home barefoot for a year now. At first the arches of my feet were sore, but they got better after a week or two. I also got my husband to rub them and that helped quite a bit.
  • jamkat-You can do it!
  • Do you have a mat you are exercising on? The sales guy convinced me to get the exercise mat and I am so glad I did, I think it's made all the difference in the world. You might need better shoes, but I don't know much about that. I always do Insanity barefoot.
  • Good for you for realizing it wasn't working for you and moving onto something that will work for you. I never liked the Jillian workouts so I moved onto things that I did like. Doesn't mean her workouts are ineffective, just not for me. Insanity is working wonders for me, but I also enjoy the workouts. If I didn't like…
  • I tried 30DS and I way prefer this. I definitely don't think the first 10 minutes are a waste of time, I think they are very important and I'm definitely burning calories and toning my body when I do them. Of course, if I didn't like the workouts I probably wouldn't stick with them, you need to find what works for you and…
  • Go at your own pace! The point is too push yourself as far as you can go (without injuring yourself) not keep up with the people in the video. Eat super healthy and get plenty of sleep and plenty of water.
  • Yesterday I slipped with my diet a little and my workout was so much harder! I'm honestly glad I did because I now I know the difference in how I feel and how much energy I can put into my workouts depending on what I eat.
  • jamkat-Ouch! I hope you heal quickly! Don't overdo it if you do exercise tomorrow.
  • I am loving Insanity! It makes me feel so strong when I push through them-it's tough though! I tried 30DS in the past and didn't really like it, even though Insanity definitely is harder. I think it really helps that I am eating super healthy. I've never felt so good in my life, or had more energy, and I think it's a…
  • I'm doing my own meals, but sticking very close to the nutrition and calories they recommend. Are you following their menus?
  • Thanks so much! Everyone's kind words is just more motivation to keep going!
  • Definitely intense. My calves have been burning for a couple days now, I keep limping everywhere. Still, I am feeling so empowered that I am actually doing this!
  • Thanks! The shirts are not the exact same shirt (one is light pink and one is light purple), but same size, style and brand. Before I would only wear them as undershirts, but now I feel comfortable enough to wear them as regular shirts:)
  • Yeah, I figured out how to post pictures!
  • What a cool idea, thanks! I'll go post my info.
  • tenchasmfp-I wouldn't have been able to do any push-ups either, but for the past 4 weeks I've been doing this program: http://www.100pushups.info/pushups-test/ When I first started I could only do 3 push-ups, I and I worked up to 16 push-ups. I'm taking a break from it now since I'm doing Insanity. I'm guessing you'll…
