If I wean my baby will it be easier to lose weight?
My daughter is 13 months, I was planning on weaning her at 12 months but I really enjoy the extra calories I get for nursing:) I've been having a harder time losing weight lately, and was wondering if I weaned her if my body would let go of the weight easier. I'm 5'8, weigh 165, and I eat 1590 calories a day to lose a…

Fluctuating TDEE while on reset?
I've decided that I'm going to do the re-set for 8 weeks, and I have a question. My activity level is going to change during the 8 weeks, so I'm guessing I should be changing the calories I eat? For example, I'm finishing up my last 2 weeks of Insanity right now, so my activity level is pretty high. When I'm done I'm going…

Help for hurt knee during exercise/Insanity related
Yesterday I hurt my left knee doing Insanity. Today I did Insanity again, but had to take it much easier because I didn't want to injure my knee further. It only hurts when I twist it wrong, and it's just small discomfort, but I can tell it's not just sore muscles. I'm in the middle of my 3rd week in Month 2 of Insanity…

Fit Test #4!
I didn't think I could do any better than last time, but I did! And even though I was gasping for breath after each exercise, by the end of the entire fit test I felt energized instead of exhausted! Here are my results. week1-week2-week3-week4 switch jacks: 80 - 110 - 126 - 130 power jacks: 44 - 49 - 56 - 68 power knees:…

Fit Test #3!
The fit test never gets easier! I was going to to the Max Interval Plyo right after, but I had to rest for 30 minutes in between because the fit test was so intense. Anyway, I've definitely improved! week1-week2-week3 switch jacks: 80 - 110 - 126 power jacks: 44 - 49 - 56 power knees: 78 - 80 - 94 power jumps: 32 - 40 - 48…

Recovery Week!
I can't believe month one is over! I did the recovery workout last night, it was actually quite fun. I was definitely sweating, but I was able to talk to my husband throughout the workout, not something I'm able to do with the regular workouts. Now I'm scared for next week:) Where is everyone else at with Insanity?

How's everyone doing?
Is anyone still on schedule? Maybe a little behind but still committed? If you are behind but want to keep doing it then jump back in, you can do it! I've been doing pretty well so far, haven't missed a day yet. I'm hoping I don't get sick, because I definitely won't do these workouts if I'm sick. I've been eating really…

Nursing mom/Insanity/Am I eating enough?
I am 5'8, and weigh 164. I've been stuck at this weight for 2 months. (My body fat % has been dropping in that time, however.) I also breastfeed my 16 month old daughter, about 5 times a day. I'm about to start week 4 of Insanity. I eat very healthy most of the time, but will have a cheat day here and there. This weekend I…

Fit Test #2!
Did anyone take the second fit test yesterday? I did and definitely saw improvements. I posted it on the other thread, but I'll put it here too. It was so hard, it felt like day 1 all over again, I even felt slightly nauseous when I was done. Once I was done feeling nauseous I felt great though-like I really accomplished…

One year of progress w/pics
The 'before' is me last year at about this time. I had my daughter a few months before, but this picture shows me after I lost all of the weight I gained with her pregnancy. (It fell off without much effort on my part.) I still had some old baby weight from my other two hanging around though:) It's taken me a whole year to…

Is everyone taking before/after pics?
I'll have to figure out how to post a picture and share my before, I can't wait to see my after! If you haven't taken a before picture yet you probably still could, since this is only day two. I'm excited to earn the t-shirt! Does anyone know If I can get a guys t-shirt, or a women's one that covers the belly? I don't…

Insantiy exercise mat
I just bought Insanity, and the sales guy on the phone talked me into buying the mat and a few other things. He said I had 90 days to return it. Do I need their mat, or can I get a cheaper one elsewhere that works just as well? Thanks!

Is eating at night bad, if you have the calories for it?
My husband and I always end up eating at night after dinner, while the kids are falling asleep and we're watching t.v. Ever since joining MFP I make sure I have enough calories to have my nighttime snack and it's almost always a healthy snack. I've heard that eating at night can be bad for you and lead to weight gain, but…

Lost 4 pounds from being sick
I've been sick for a week and haven't been able to eat much. I've lost 4 pounds and was wondering if it will stay off or if I should expect to see it come back on quickly. I intend to continue to eat healthy and exercise every day now that I'm better. Edited to add: I drank at least 8 glasses of water each day and lots of…

Exercises to get rid of back fat?
Ever since I was about 12 I've had two fat rolls on my back, one on each side. I've been shrinking my stomach area really well (it's my biggest problem area) but I have no idea how to get rid of back fat. Any good exercises for this?

What's the deal w/ Wii Fit? Calories burned...
So yesterday I worked out pretty hard with Wii fit. I put in that 40 minutes of high intensity on the Wii Fit and it said I burned 187 calories. It doesn't seem right to me though. I'll work out on my step board and I'll put in that I worked out for 40 minutes on a 6-8 inch step and it tells me I burned 455 calories. It…

What should pushing a stroller w/ 4 kids be categorized as?
Just putting down walking or carrying a child while walking doesn't seem accurate enough. I pushed 123 pounds worth of kids (4 yr old, 3yr old, 2 yr old, 7 mo old) in a triple stroller and it was not easy. Even tiny hills were pretty hard to go up. How would you categorize this for exercise?
