Bump.... Going to try this!

I'll send a request for sure.....I am just starting out in a gradual shift to hopefully completely paleo in a year or so. I say gradual because I know if I try to give up all my favorites, all at once I won't do it. So I"m slowly lowering carbs with the goal of eliminating all but those coming from fruit/veggies. And…

I had similar questions.....and will contribute as a new user. I got the Fit Link a bit ago, and have worn it about 2 weeks total. (on vacation in there, so it wasn't all successive). I LOVE it, it's so motivating and I know where I"m at with activity. Just yesterday I drove a few hours to see my gramma, and at noon…

Not the best diet food....but they have peanut butter stuffed pretzel bites that are delish....... My go to frozen veggies Is their hodge podge mix.....
-
Very well handled. Kudos to you.
-
Incredible.....thanks for sharing your success!

I believe net carbs is total carbs minus the fiber........ So you can track both and just subtract fiber from the carbs? Can anyone confirm this?
-
Willpower.....I got mine about a week or so ago. I love it, it's really helped paint a better picture of what is happening with my body. I burn a lot more calories than I think I do, or more than the charts tell me I am probably burning. So the calorie number MFP has me aiming for is way too low.......which explains why I…

Bump....

I am going to bump this, see if there are any other comments. :) I compared my HRM to my BMF tonight during a workout, the body media read higher by 60 calories....... I'll take it!
-
Thanks for the input everyone.... I've had my BMF for only a week, and I was sick part of that week with the stomach flu, so it wasn't my completely normal days. I haven't even tried to workout with it yet, and plan to compare it to my heart rate monitor also to see how it compares (although I'm on a beta blocker so my…

I don't know the lab you are getting tested from, but the normal range for Vitamin D is about 30-80 (taking into account a little lab variation). The lab I work with is 30-80. You may want to double check your normal range again. It's very common to take 50,000 units 1-3 times a week if you're vitamin D deficient....... If…

I think RI30 is a little harder, but I like that DVD a lot more. So I like the harder, if that makes sense.
-
Awesome job with RI30, and congrats for losing the baby weight!

I quit watching, Kim and Conda are so ridiculous It's such a waste of time this season. I initially felt bad for Adrian because of the way he was treated..... but then the way he handled it, and his actions were poor too, so he sealed his own fate I think. If he responded to the team in a different way, I think he could…

I did the MS Challenge Walk (50 miles in 3 days). Our fundraising requirement was 1500$, but I usually raised between 2000$ and 2500$. Some of the ideas out there for fundraising. Garage sale like mentioned, bake sale, ice cream social, do a brat stand at the local grocery store in the summer (OK I"m in Minnesota so we…

Bump for later!

Thanks alot for that....I was going to go to their website, and you just saved me the hassle! I thought it was based on some of those things mentioned. I still don't 100% know........ my sweating and skin temperature may be influenced by my heart rate, so if my beta blocker effects these, it still might indirectly…

For me, I am learning to not let my bad days derail me. Before, I would be all or nothing. It was a perfect diet and exercise plan, or it was a horrible eating/no exercise plan. Now there is middle ground. If I go over the edge (oops, just went to burger King, drank a mountain dew and then had a reeses peanut butter…

From Dusk Til Dawn OK, I'm just kidding. :)
-
I think anyone can do it, just pace yourself, and don't get frustrated with what you may not be able to do. Just keep doing it, and working at it, and it will get better every time.
-
BUMP, I need to some back to these!
-
I agree with the slow and steady thought, and that you're probably gaining muscle which weigh alot, but taking off inches. I'm going to put a plug in for water.......if you're exercising a lot more you probably need more water. if you're dehydrated your body will hang on to water. If you're not drinking enough already, try…

Burger king's sausage, egg, and cheese croissant, hash rounds, and a Mountain dew. But I wouldn't recommend this. :) It was a "wake up to the truth" kind of morning when I tracked the calories! Motivation to not do that again...... Actually, usual breakfast includes egg whites or hard boiled eggs and whole wheat toast, or…

Yeah, I would agree with fitbit or bodybug. They seem good for different reasons. Search fitbit or bodybug in the topic search and I think there are other threads about them. Also, I got a lot of info on them from reading the amazon reviews.....

I use whey protein in shakes (smoothies), hard boiled eggs, mozzarella cheese sticks, lean chicken and turkey (sometimes I just cut strips of grilled chicken and eat them). Greek yogurt is high protein and nummy!

that's a great idea.....thanks. I don't have the "child sleeping" problem, but more the "can't get up early enough to make it before work" problem. So this would work........
