Multiple sclerosis and weight loss
Hey all- calling all people with MS and looking for input! I am very functional with MS, but really battling fatigue lately. I have about 75 pounds to lose and know that contributes to it. I feel like I'm stuck at the bottom, knowing how much I want and need to exercise, but it completely wipes me out! So 2 questions do…

MS and motherhood.
I am turning to this forum to get some insight into being a parent with MS. I have had MS For 10 years, I am now in my early 40's. I'm doing pretty well with it- work full time in a busy job, have no obvious defecits. I get fatigued at times, I definitely haveM generalized weakness at times (although I scored high on my…

Strict or not?
I was wondering how strict people are with the whole 30? I'm allowing myself a little margin of error and not restarting if I go a little off course. My goal is 90-95% on plan. Like tonight went awry and I ended up with a McDonalds salad for dinner (I never get these). Well it had a little corn and tortilla strips in it. I…

Bodymedia overestimating?
Wondering if any Bodymedial users feel like their numbers are high? I just got mine about a week ago, and I feel like my calorie expenditure is way too high.......and sometimes my step count seems high too. My average burn per hour is about 1.3/minute when I'm sedentary/sleeping and it goes up from there (my weight is 225)…

Fatigue
Hey everyone , I was wondering who here has a lot of fatigue issues. And what doesn't feel like to you? Does it come suddenly and go suddenly? What triggers it? Has your exercise/weight loss journey affected it? What do you do to combat it? I woke up this morning and felt like my body was really heavy from head to toe,…

Money management question....debate at home!
I am wondering who out there still keeps a check register....and accurately maintains it. My boyfriend and I are on opposite ends of the spectrum on whether or not to maintain a check register (or account register to be more accurate), when in this day and age you have online banking updated daily, and sites like mint.com…

Beta Blockers and HRM-
I am on a beta blocker, and know my heart rate is about 15 bpm lower than it used to be. Can anyone tell me, does that affect how many calories I burn? Or is my HRM just going to think I burned less, but really I will burn as much as if my HR was 15 beats higher? The bottom line is, I'm wondering if my HRM is accurate if I…

Morning exercisers?
I am so NOT a morning person, and every morning hit my alarm multiple times before dragging myself out of bed with heavy lids and a foggy head......just to get to work. But, I really want to be a morning exerciser! My question is......are there any anti-morning people like myself that have successfully established a…

Losing weight with lower intesity workouts
So with everthing I am reading and trainers are telling me, high intensity workouts is the way to go for losing weight.... high EPOC will yield better results. I am wondering if there are a lot of people that are doing more lower to moderate intensity acitvities and still losing weight. I'd love to hear your stories. I…

Bodymedia vs HRM on beta blockers
I am on beta blockers, and my HRM never gives me an accurate reading of my calories burned, since my HR is "muted" by the beta blockers. (at least it underestimates, not over estimates). Can anyone tell me if the Bodymedia (or Bodybugg) is more accurate for people on Beta blockers? My understanding is they (Bodymedia etc)…
