I wouldn't say you were a cheat. Nowhere on that program does it say you have to do it all in a row. I say good job for giving it a go. I am on week 4 of the Couch 2 5K app.

That is the biggest thing for me is planning out what I am eating so I don't go way over on one meal and left to starve the rest of the day. If there is something big going on such as a date night or out to dinner I know that I need to hit the gym hard that day.

I am at about 35 and people are finally starting to say stuff. I read a quote that made a lot of sense. It takes 4 weeks for you to notice, 8 weeks for close friends and family to notice, and 12 weeks for the world to notice. Keep your head up and keep going. It will pay off in the end.

I am overweight with about 100+ pounds to lose and I am on week 5 of the couch 2 5K. I think they should be happy for me because I am out there trying to do something about my situation. I was the same way. My friends kept telling me that I was gaining muscle but I know that I have a lot of fat to lose and there was no way I was gaining muscle that fast. I felt much better once I put this out there and someone said that I was storing water. That made more sense to me.

Well I can't begin to thank everyone for the support and info. I did stick with the weight lifting but did step up the cardio this week plus introduced some protein shakes for meals and was able to get rid of what I gained plus 1.8.
