I totally read this as PANTY raid. I'm kinda disappointed.

CICO for weight management is like abstinence for birth control. Obviously it works, but it only works if you actually do it, or in the case of abstinence, it works if you don't "do it". Clearly for the vast majority of people, calorie counting is not something which is long term sustainable For them. I'm happy for…

I developed it from wearing flat shoes (ballet flats) with no arch support.

Every day, same time ideally and in some conditions. Use an app to record and look at the trends, not the individual numbers. Eg. weightgrapher.com Educate yourself on the factors that influence day to day weight (start with some googling)

Yes, this. I took about a year to fully recover from it. Religiously using inserts in all my shoes, rolling on a golf ball and lots of stretches. At the worst, I was taking the max dose of ibuprofen every day for about 2 weeks (doctor said to do so) and avoided walking at al until it got a bit better

I've not had a single takeaway since I moved to my current place because I no longer drive past any shops on my commute.

You're eating more when you work out.

I was going to but ended up just booking into a hotel in the middle of national al park instead.

Good quality plus size clothes are expensive and can be difficult to source. Keep them, or sell.

My housemate was once on a weird diet and made 'chocolate mousse' from a diet recipe and thought it was disgusting. She gave me some and I thought it was delicious. It was made from avocado and cocoa powder and may some other thing too. I quite like avocado and I also like not-very-sweet chocolate. I would happily eat that…

Who has time to weigh anything after cooking?! Get them in my tummy

Weigh yourself with and without the dumbell. Not just putting the dumbell on the scale! It could be accurate at 5 lb but not at 100.

Slimming world is basically calorie counting. You are just paying for someone else to count it for you. If after 4 weeks on SW you haven't lost weight then I bet you were doing it wrong. Also they'll give you your money back.
-
If you're on slimming world you should already have and be using a food scale. A lot of foods on SW need to be measured. I disagree with the SW hate, it is a good programme for people who have £5 a week to spare, who were eating crap or ln stipid diets before and who don't like dealing with the maths of calorie counting.…

Special wide seats that you can pay extra (but not double) are available on some flights. It's called premium economy. But not short haul. For those, just shut up and deal, I'm afraid. I put up with skinny people's *kitten* behaved kids, they can cope if I take up all the space in the tiny seats.

Spots direct. Outdoors shops like mountain warehouse. Marks and sparks, or clothing at the major supermarkets. Depends what you want really. Sometimes you can get basic workout clothes at high street plus size clothing stores eg Evans. If anyone can recommend mens plus size workout clothes please share. Asking for a friend…

Buy individual servings of whatever your dessert is, and plan for them.

So true! Sometimes I feel that people who say "no I can't I'm on a diet" are actually fishing for you to try to change their mind. Example: Me: we're going for a curry, do you want to come? Dieter: sorry no I'm on a diet Me: ok, well we could go to a different restaurant? Maybe a chain pub where they have the calories on…

In these circumstances (and generally you can predict them, if you are familiar with the culture) I will have a tokenistic amount. Half a slice of cake won't kill me, and no one will notice if I only take a bite and then leave the plate somewhere. In these circumstances it can genuinely be rude to refuse the food. You have…
