I have a copper iud. No hormones. Highly recommended, if you can get it/is suitable. I've not had any kids either, you don't have to have had kids already to have one. If she stops depo then she will need another form of BC, since pregnancy will certainly cause weight gain!!!

Yeah that was dumb. Even when you have lost weight there is no telling what shape you will be in. Return the dress, get it in a bigger size and budget for tailoring later on.

Poor quality fast food/chocolate/alcohol etc.

Get a hobby, learn a musical instrument, volunteer .... I've always had to drive everywhere so I'm used to not having alcohol when I go out with friends etc. Diet coke, soda water & fresh lime, or sparkling water are my go to drinks.

Each size down, get new clothes. Unless you have a job/lifestyle where you can look like a slob in ill fitting clothes.

About 4 weeks ish before getting gym access. I do L sits on the floor. I think I can get maybe 2 cm off the floor now! My bum is still in contact though! I'm all about the bass ;-)

Haha I say "handstands" when really I'm still on wall planks, and will be for a long time!! The wrist warmups from that routine have been helpful for me to do before my yoga class though.

Handstands, yes. Doing this routine was what actually motivated me to try to lose weight, actually. Edit: I'm doing Strong Curves at a gym now, but still do some bits from that routine, including the handstands.

Oh yes! I leave all my coins in the car. If I really want a chocolate from the machine, I can have one, but need to walk out to the car to get the coins first.

I'm using CICO as a label for calorie restriction by counting them. Like, with numbers, and by measuring things (also with numbers). As opposed to caloric restriction by following rules from a Diet Programme (TM)
