So what if you are really fat. You were even more fat before, and you weren't a more terrible person, you just were biggeR. Would you feel better if you were photographed next to people more fat than you? It's not a competition.

You're the one who asked for opinions on the internet.

I was taught to do strength first ...

Roast with a bit of oil, salt and herbs. Or fry with a bit of oil and garlic. I think I could probably eat anything fried in oil and garlic, even bok choy. Or fry it with some oil and chopped up bacon. Mmmmm bacon.

There are 2 types of cholesterol, also look at the value for your DHL and LOL ratio. More info here http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Cholesterol/Pages/Treatment.aspx Exercise for heart health is good too. I'm on SW at the moment. It is a high ish protein, low fat diet, which should show you good results in your blood…

I've had high cholesterol all my life (genetics). It is excess saturated fat you need to avoid and cut down. Have eggs in moderation, it is fine.

You learn in primary school that 43 grams is 0.43 of 100. But I'm in the uk where everything is given in grams too.

Nope. do not be forced into care giving. Make that utterly clear to them right now.

Pfft I'm properly obese (BMI 33) and I run. http://toofattorun.co.uk/ Run if you want. Good shoes, good bra, *kitten* the haters.

Use it to your advantage. You eat a 1/4 of a pizza and he eats the rest so there are no leftovers to tempt you later !

No, you're stuck with weight.

An outdoors shop, get hiking shoes. Might want to consider an orthotic insole of some sort, if you arches aren't super strong already. I used to wear ballet flats and got plantar fasciitis which took over a year to heal. So get those inserts! My walking shoes are by Merrell

Going by the values on the recipe cards I've found them to pretty accurate as far as I can tell. Remember HF is *not* diet food, it is not calorie controlled. It is however all quite good quality, tasty, natural food, and they provide a good amount of it.

Run slower

I'm not emotionally attached to the numbers, so yes. Plus I like graphs.

I think exercise is key for many people to learn to appreciate and care for their bodies, which in turn leads them to make healthier food choices, which may or may not lead to weight loss but either way will be a healthier lifestyle. People risk falling prey to diet food industry nonsense if exercise is not promoted.

Yep, when I first saw the name I assumed it was pronounced Frenchly, but no. It's some guy whose name is Les.

I have them sent to work. Cheaper than feeding 50p coins into the chocolate vending machines. Of course it's cheaper to make your own. But that's not what they're selling. I admit, I do sometimes steal their ideas for snack mixes and make my own, but at the end of the day they are tasty and convenient.

+1 for runkeeper.

Yes tipping is technically optional, some places add a certain percent for large groups but that will be marked on the menu and the bill. I always try to tip in cash though, if I'm paying by card. If you do tip, 10% is plenty, and a nice thing to do for table service type places. If it's a pub or cafe where I order and pay…

Or run inside on a treadmill!

Don't knock it till you've tried it ;-)

Eat better quality bread. Bread is tasty. Don't waste your calories on the cheap fluffy white rubbish.

I lived with housemates for a 2 years where they did all the cooking and I did other chores. They only made vegetarian meals, and if I didn't like it then I made my own. I got enough meat from when I went out for dinner and from all my lunches so it was fine.

There was a willy right on the first page !

People lose weight for bad reasons too, eg illness, stress. I know someone who lost heaps of weight on the "messy divorce diet". Someone else went from a sz 24 to a 12, and while she had been going to the gym etc, at the same time her dad was dying from a really horrible illness, so I don't know if that is what caused it,…
