  • I agree with the deprivation part. I have made wine and dark chocolate a part of my diet, when I lose 10 pounds, maybe even 8, I will enjoy a pint of ice cream. I know with the added metabolism with all of the exercise, I will be ok. We need rewards to keep mentally fit too.

  • http://www.zevia.com/ I hear most diet sodas have really nasty ingredients, used to love a Diet Pepsi. I have switched over to Zevia. Many grocery stores sell them, local as well as Whole Foods. I love the citrus, ginger ale, black cherry and root beer the best. Sweetened with stevia with 0 calories.
  • I have been eating pretty clean for decades, just have winter issues living in Minnesota. I love fruits, vegies, lean meats. I will eat brown rice at times. I feel better eating this way overall. Hard with a roommate who loves popcorn, cookies, cake etc YIKES
  • Have you tried Lily's almond dark chocolate? It is sweetened with stevia so you wont have that insulin surge. I have added it to my diet as a treat on the journey to losing 20 pounds.
