  • Wow, well done :)
  • I have gone from a uk16 to a uk10 and have lost 40lbs. I eat low carb so i dont get the normal bloat which means i can fit into clothes with ease. I have found that no matter how much weight you lose you still need to tone up for your clothes to look better on you. It took me a long time to get out of the size 12's (about…
  • I find this totally annoying. I lost nearly 40lbs but i'm still a size 14 (uk size) some 12's fit me, BMI borders on 25. People keep saying 'dont over do it' and ' i think you have lost enough'. Drives me nuts. So in the end i stopped dieting for a while to let them get used to seeing me this weight. Have now started again…
  • Eggs, cheese and stock cubes :)
  • I could have four or five without any effects, any more and the warning comes in for me :) Everybody reacts differant to these.
  • go to food diary, go to goals, go to custom, then set ur carbs to 5%, protein to 30% and fat to 65%
  • a sea kelp supplement is supposed to be great in helping with underactive tyroid conditions. Plus you get lovely skin, hair and nails also :)
  • totally unrelated to the opening topic, but when i started atkins i too used alli and found i was tired for weeks. When you aren't eating carbs you must eat fat as your body only can use carbs or fat for energy. Nothing else. Just my 2c, BTW I'm still an atkins girl so not slating your woe at all xxx
  • For your body weight i'd personally have more kcals as otherwise your boby will go into starvation mode. How about a happy medium for now maybe 1700kcals and see how you get on. There is no sense in being hungry you'll be liking to binge then. As you lose weight lower your kcals.
  • What a lovely post :) Thank god in the gym i go to that sort of stuff is really frowned upon. Work out or get out should be all gyms motto.
  • when you lose weight your cup size goes up and your band size goes down. Its very important to get measured properly. I went from a 40D to a 34E since losing weight.
  • All done, was a lovely challenge. Felt great after so went on and did more exercise :)
  • I'm in too, but i'll use an aerobics step as i dont have stairs :)
  • Hiya and a big welcome and the very best of luck on the rest of your journey :)
  • I once stalled for a whole month but broke the cycle by upping my carbs a tad to 30g. I did continue to lose inches during this time though. You have lost a lot already and sometimes it just takes a week or two to show on your scales. Take your measurements instead this week as they are a much better guideline on Atkins,
  • Painkillers are your best friend on that day. Hopefully you'll be over it tomorrow. Its at this point most people give up but be strong its only for a day or two and well worth it. Congrats on your loss so far :)
  • I must add that it also states that it MUST be low carb, less than 1g nc per 250mls of soymilk
  • well i've always used it and it is stated in the orange book that it is in fact allowed, just doubled checked.
  • Holland and barrett do stock flaxseed, also other supermarkets have it in the 'special foods' ailse. They all vary in taste, the nicest one i've found is in aldi, quite a mild taste and goes with everything and way cheaper that other shops. On the subject of MiMs do you know you can make a savoury one by leaving out the…
  • Soya milk is allowed. Atkins just couldnt possibly list every single thing you are allowed just check the carbs and motor on if you have enough.
  • Suprised to find this as i thought atkins was shunned here. Any how i've been doing atkins for a little over a year and have lost over 2 and a half stone already. I'm not keen on losing the rest too quicky, only 12lbs to go. I'm on phase 3 and loving it.
