  • Hello lori_en! I have had IBS since I was 14. Bloating is a huge issue for me as well as water retention (which probably isn't related to the IBS lol). Some things I've noticed that help my bloating is cutting out carbonated beverages, cuttin down highly processed foods, and making sure that I don't go too long w/o eating.…

  • I am trying to stay focused ladies. My mom has been battling stage 4 lung cancer since Feburary & we received very bad news today so to say the least I havent been "here". I am getting ready to do my moves though. Who else got both sets in? Comment here so I can post results tomorrow.
  • I'm so glad to see so many willing to do this! I'm away from my pc @ the moment & dont do much on my phone with posting. When i get back in about 30 minutes I'll post a sumary of who's in & such. Sorry I'm behind today. received some very devestating news so I'm distracted but this will help me make it :).
  • Good to see that all is being resolved
  • Ok I'm still continuing this group even with the other post :) But I want to add that you should continue to do exercises that do work your whole or almost whole body along with these. :) Please feel free to share tips, sites, knowledge with all of us but please do so respectfully :). Also the tricep exerise I mentioned…
  • Even triceps? haha dumb question nevermind.
  • HAHA so not what I intended. It feels more natural to me though, focusing on one part lol
  • Ok see that makes sense. I also do moves that include all muscle groups together. I figured I would add more targeted moves in with them. I really have a small amount of knowledge in this area so again whatever correct info one can offer I don't mind to hear at all. Thanks for explaining that.
  • I am sensitive. not yours or his problem. He stated his opinion, so have you & so have I. Does it mean he has to change or care? No but mine doesn't either. Good luck to ya!!
  • Really?? Not being rude at all but that seems wild backwards even
  • I guess elaboraion on my part could have prevented this whole deal. And as for toning its what I've always called strength training/conditioning. Those around me I explain to them what I mean. And yea I'm sensitive its not your problem but a lil tact goes a long way
  • I do agree completely. Tact goes along way. He had good intentions just not the best of delivery. Thank you very much
  • Thanks for the elaboration. I do include full body moves and leave a day in between to rest. I mainly just meant to add the ones that use the problem area mostly. But I get what you're saying.
  • I know. Thanks you too!
  • Thanks
  • Ok can we say wow? First thank you purpleiris I appreciate all you said & you have been great motivation to me as well. Next I'm not here to squabble over terminology or whether or not one regimin is better. I am not the most educated in strength training aka toning (hey I like the word & those who know me know what I…
  • :ohwell:
  • I fixeed my original post to include the weights lol.
  • You got it! it can also be done on a bench. Yea use the weight you are comfortable with. I'm still using a 5lb weight. :)
  • Oh another thing that helps me with mild pain is laying in the floor on my stomach. Just enough pressure I suppose. For gas related problems from IBS I also lay on my back & pull my knees snuggly into my chest for a couple minutes. Sometimes even rocking in this position. Hope this helps.
  • Hello all! My name is Amy. I'm 27 & live in a small town in KY. I am a stay at home mommy & wife with a very busy life. I have been married 8 years & we have 4 awesome little boys ages 7, 6, 2, & 7 mos. I've had IBS since I was 13. The doctors had no clue then what was wrong with my horrid stomach pain & at 17 they had me…
  • I find that if I stay away from fresh baked sweets soon before my period it eases flare ups related to my period.
  • 1200 calories net is what you need to aim for. If you go below that your body will shut down & go into starvation mode after several days of >1200 net cals thus retaining fat. So if you currently skip meals it would be in your best interest to workout in the a.m. if possible so you know your total cals for the day prior to…
