  • Thanks, all. Sounds like I have a lot less guilt AND a plan. : )
  • Hi everyone! Thanks for the replies. My 18 month old doesn't nap at all during the day and sleeps solid throughout the night for the most part. I'm an early riser 7 days a week so her waking up early on her own wouldn't phase me. My husband begins work much earlier than I do so he isn't available to watch her. Perhaps I…
  • Thanks, ladies! All great points and very helpful. Yes, choosing the right foods and taking my baby for a walk is all I can maintain for now since I work 8-10 hrs a day, have a 2 hr commute, and spend every other second with my little one until she passes out. At that point I have my me time. I'm trying to sneak in…
  • I'm 5'7" and weigh 230 lb-gained 70+ from my recent pregnancy. I'm currently a size 18 with a 2x top -44C. In my profile pic I was 170 lbs, size 12, large top and 38D. I currently eat 1500 calories and usually eat back my exercise calories. Goal weight is 150.
  • Feel free to add me! I'm trying to get back in after taking almost 4 months off. I could use the extra support as well!
  • Sign me up! SW: 212 lbs CW: 170 lbs GW: 150 lbs Height-5'7" Age: 25 Location: San Jose, CA Happy for VDC requests
  • I had something super embarrassing happen to me. After shedding a few tears I decided I couldn't let that happen again. My overall goal at that point was to be healthy physically and mentally. I started running the next day.
  • Me, too! I need motivation and accountability. After dropping 40 lbs I've strayed and can't get back into my groove. : (
  • I also have the polar FT4 and I love it. Whatever u buy get the one with the chest strap! It is the most accurate!
  • I think at the end of the day it's all about letting your food settle before going to bed. They say eat at least 2 hours before laying down for bed. My personal experience if I eat shortly before bed time that I have acid reflux or a heavy tummy for the most part. Basically, not feeling 100!
  • Def work on endurance first. Speed will come later! If you try to work on speed now it will take longer for you to build endurance and you will find yourself stopping alot. Also, I can't stress this enough, my Dear. Running is a great weight loss exercise so get a heart rate monitor!! It will tell you exactly how many…
  • I have a Polar HRM and at first I was also surprised of the amount I was burning but at the end of the day you have to remember that if you are heavy (like me) you will burn more calories since you have all fo this this added weight to your excerise. I've noticed as i drop weight I burn less calories doing the same thing.
  • Hey there! For your shoes I recommend going to a nearby local store. They will run some free tests for you to let you know which type of shoes you need (stability vs neutral). This will make a world of difference. You will need to buy one full size larger than you typically wear so your feet have room. You will also get to…
  • Running or Insanity. I strongly recommend you get at Heart Rate Montior. That's how you know exactly how many calories you are burning which is always more or less than what MFP says you are burning.
  • Don't beat yourself up! I am also a WW drop out. You know what, though, it just wasn't for us! MFP is great and FREE. My brother in law lost over 100 lbs doing this. What helps is having friends! I'll send a request your way.
  • You can do it no problem! MFP turned out to have a great support system. I'm currently in my own funk after losing some weight and for the past 3 weeks I can't shake it. I began as a size 18 and I'm now a 14 and 40 lbs lighter. You and I have the same exact high school story. I'll add you and hopefully we can do this…
  • Have you tried increasing your calories? I did that when I hit a plateau and it worked! The good thing is that you are still losing body fat so your body is STILL morphing. Muscle does weigh more than fat and as a fellow runner I can relate to your issue. You can do something shocking as well such as giving up sugar for a…
  • Growing up in Louisiana I know what you mean, girl! If I wear a dress I rub a little bit of baby powder on my inner thighs. This will last most of the day and prevent chafing. You can also get a chafing cream which you can find at sports/running stores but they won't leave your skin feeling silky like baby powder. You can…
  • Most prescribed sleep meds are also anti-depressants. Mine would make me sooooo out of it the next day like a zombie AND made me gain so much weight I had to get off of it. Now, I use Melatonin or cannabis.
  • You really want o get a HRM. I love mine which is PolarF4. MFP tracks calories at a much higher rate. That bad boy goes everywhere withe me. I'm surprised sometimes to see that running for 45 minutes I almost burn 1000 calories and then stretching and squatting for 30 minutes I tend to burn around 240. Accurate tracking of…
  • I do Insanity, too, but since I run as my main excerise I do Insanity part time. It's pretty fun And u burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. The time goes by quickly during the workout, too.
  • It's tough but I find that letting logging in everyday and seeing my friends work out and log it inspires me to get off of my butt. Another thing I do is read the success stories every other day so Im reminded of the rewards that will come. I also don't beat myself up if I'm actually exhausted and can't workout that day. I…
  • My hubby did it for me. Most likely a bit torrent site?
  • It's certainly challenging to do this 6 times a week. I do it about 5 times a week. Im on week 3 now and I just started to shed some lbs but I gained the first two weeks. Insanity is working though. I can barely keep my pants on! Pants on the ground!
  • This guy sounds whack. U don't need him. U can do much better. Sounds like he was just stringing u along cuz he is a deadbeat who can't be independent. You need a real man and I'm sure u will find one.
  • I'm currently doing Insanity and I love it. I run about 10 miles a week along with it. They balance each other out in my opinion since running helps clear your kind and takes some of that stress out. I'm on week 2 and Ive already lost inches. Most of the workout videos are between 30-40 min in the first month. I hear they…
  • Oh yeah...and I also gained weight but I am still chugging along since I was able to button a pair of pants today that I haven't been able to in a long time.
  • I'm had to take a few days off last week so I'm a little behind but I'm on week 2 and I'm lovin it! My endurance has already gone up. I can't believe it.
