Thanks guys! I'm still making some progress. Here's an update: I'm playing around with cutting carbs and sugars. I've been taking it slow, but I am at a point where I've effectively cut out all sugars and most carbs that don't come from straight fiber. Here's an update from me, two weeks ago, to now:
-
I see! Great info; thanks so much. I'll cut them out. And have to do some research on alternatives. Sigh!
-
Thanks so much! I was hesitant because I'm not sure what's a reliable source, anymore. This sugar alcohols is "Maltitol".

Thanks, but I'm going for more of a low-carb diet, as well as a low-calorie diet. My goals are a bit more complex than calories in/calories out. This is a really good idea. I actually haven't considered Keto Stix. Maybe I should cut the bars for a week, do the Keto Stix, then sneak a bar in the following week and see if…

How are you liking it so far?

Thanks, guy! I've definitely stalled, but I'm keeping at it. I have taken another "before" photo now, hoping a stricter diet helps me get to my goal.

Unfortunately, since then, my weight hasn't changed. I'm stuck at about 137. So I've finally just stopped looking at the scale and expecting to see a perfect body reflected in the mirror each night. I just keep going to my training classes, and keep my meals on the weekend reasonable.

It's taken a few months, but I've slowly started to accept how I look. I think I was expecting my curves to kind of go away, and am realizing the dedication to the diet that it takes to look the way I want. I'm doing my best to focus on strength goals -- do strict pull ups, deadlift more than 200 pounds, etc. If I have…

No, the intensity only pushes you to what is intense for you --- so everything is basically scaled. They have workouts that they put on the board to do, but I've only done a few of those. Everything else is scaled.

No, I never gained weight. I think that may apply to skinny people who gain muscle mass. My fat probably outweighed my toning for a while so I didn't notice. Ahaha. I did stall a few times, though. Plateau, as people say. But it wasn't really a plateau. Thanks to the style of the workout, I could see all of the progress I…

Love love love that article. So motivating. Thank you for sharing it with me! So refreshing to see that those girls also have something to "grab." Maybe since I've never been this size, I figured I shouldn't have anything to grab. I feel so much better after all of y'alls comments! You guys have no idea. That's what I love…

Thank you, sardelsa! Judging by your photos, you are exactly at what I picture as my goal look. What do you do to get that look? My injury is unfortunate -- I managed to dislocate my shoulder from my clavicle bone. Ouch! Three weeks of babying it and it's still not back together and I can only lift a few pounds. It put me…

Hi, Jillian! Thank you! I think so. My boyfriend has a home gym, and for the past three weeks I've been using that with him to work out thanks to a shoulder injury (not from crossfit! heehee). He works out completely at home, and is ridiculously ripped. I've not loss much progress (though I can't lift anything, so that has…

I am involved in CrossFit, but I also focus on cardio endurance and running once or twice a week. An injury (not with CrossFit, but during a handstand) to my shoulder has restricted my progress the past few weeks, which could be a reason I've been harder on myself than usual. I still feel bloated, I can still grab my…

Thanks!

This struck me in particular because she pointed out that I was putting on an act like I wasn't strong, just because I was afraid. She showed me, really, how silly I was being, in denying an obvious truth: I could do it. And yes, yay CrossFit! Haha
-
Thanks everyone! Yes, I'm much stronger now. I am not as strong as my peers but I am taking it slowly and having fun with it. :)
-
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!

I am 5'5". A shawty! Thanks so much.

Thank you so much!!

I know! :'( I was working out so much throughout the week and just maintaining. I then realized with a big "D'oh!" that I was drinking like 600 calories in BEER every day. But I loooove beer! Now I just indulge once a month or so. I aim for about 1500 calories intake per day, so an extra 500 calories in beer means either I…

Thank you!! I did. I went from a 10 to a 4. Just in the past few weeks my size-six jeans were too big. My work pants are both sizes 4 and 6, but for those, I like the 6. They just have a bit more room, which is nice since the fabric has less give. For shirts I now wear an x-small to small. My boobs never decreased in size,…

Thank you, everybody!! I didn't see a lot of progress until I gave up beer. Haha. Then it was easier!
-
I'll do my best!

Thanks guys! It was a big moment for me. :) If you are ever in Houston, look up CrossFit Revoke. It's what I look forward to every day!

Thank you, everyone! This gym has changed my life in so many ways. And to be honest, being skinny doesn't even cross my mind any more. I've been able to improve other parts of my life with the strength and bravery fitness not /gives/ me but makes me aware I already have!

Great success! A NSV for me would be posting my before and afters and receiving hate mail because nobody can believe it. :) definitely some haters I wouldn't mind in my inbox! Ha
