  • For the record, your butt is amazing!! Very lifted and shapely. Are you maintaining or trying to get more muscle? You say you aren't progressing but my mind is like :O!! that you aren't at goal yet. You have done amazing work.
  • Holy wow!! What'd you do?? That is amazing!! You look so different!
  • Sorry that you have received hate mail! But it seems almost a year of progress has been made in just over a month for you. I've never seen weight drop that drastically on anyone before. How many calories are you netting a day? I'd almost be nervous if I dropped that fast! I'm sure it feels incredible to have lost so much.…
  • @triciab79 this is really interesting. Have you ever asked them what changed?
  • MFP a is like Reddit. Everyone is an expert! I've heard of this band. It supports your uterus after everything is loosened up down there. By securing it back where it was before birth, it's healing process is supposed to be faster. I'm not sure if it works, but it won't hurt to try!
  • When I was fat, my cat Tigertom was alive. He would purr into my neck and tangle himself in my hair. He would never leave my side, all 17 years. He died three years ago. I lost my weight right before he died. So he is what I miss most about being fat. Other than that, I can't think of a damn thing.
  • And also, thanks everyone!!
  • No, I've only been going to the CrossFit classes. There is a pretty good balance of cardio to strength training, so I am hoping it covers my bases. I have been getting curious about hiking and biking recently, but if I were to get into something, it would be sporadic. Houston isn't too bike friendly yet (working on it!)…
  • Hopefully so!! I would prefer it. I am 168 as of my last weigh in, but at 5'5" I should definitely be lower. But I ditched my scale two weeks ago and just weigh in once a week on the gym's scale. Screw the scale!
  • Weird vibe here...! MANY of my friends in college did nude posing for the university art program for like 7/hr. They loved it because it forced them to be comfortable with their body as it was. They stopped shaming themselves and could look at their bodies first more objectively, and then with love. What an AMAZING…

  • H-Town!
  • Today I will drink a lot of water and be sure to fit in some kind of workout tonight -- even though I am traveling on business today and will be tired once I turn in at the end of the day.
  • Hey there @mskanakana ! We are pretty close: CW: 170 GW: 145-150 H: 5'5" Age: 26
  • CW: 170 GW: 145 H: 5'5" Age: 26
  • CW: 170 GW: 140-150 Height: 5'5" Age: 26 It started with cutting calories and CrossFit six weeks ago and haven't seen the scale budge! I could use a twin for encouragement. Help me, please!
  • R The scale spit all of that out! The Omron thing. I guess if I hadn't been measured at around that BF on a different system then I would be more ready to believe I am actually 30%. I had just eaten before the weigh in. :(
  • Lifetime clocked me at 41% BF two years ago when I weight about 5 pounds less. Doing the calculations, if I was 45% body fat, then that means 76 pounds of me is pure fat. Holy cow. Then, if 23% muscle, that is 39 pounds of muscle. That leaves 54 pounds for skin, bone, and organs. I guess that isn't totally impossible.
  • Noooo this thread was going so well. Snacking. The amount of snacks I would consume many years ago -- Rice Krispy treats. Chocolate donuts. What was I thinking??
  • In high school I got 47% and that was with calipers.
  • I suppose because the numbers were extremely close together using two different methods at two different locations. I mean, it doesn't bother me that much. I will just track progress from that 45%.
  • Not sure -- two years ago at a completely different gym with a different electroscale I got 48%. I was around the same weight. I do have muscle though. It estimated it was 24% muscle I think? I will have to look back. I can deadlift 125 and back squat near 120. Not amazing but I do have something back there! :) Edit: 23%…
  • Either that or I am a very tiny person trapped in a hefty body o__o
  • It was tested with an Omron scale device, and is pretty close to what my % was two years ago at a different gym. I have no real choice to believe that it is true. Accepting that I am 45% body fat isn't easy, but why? Only because of all the photos I see online -- and I KNOW that I don't look like that. It can be hard to…
  • Yes I love that site! I wish it did body fat %, because so often I see people say, "don't go by weight. Go by BF!" But in my opinion, even that is so different for every person. Best bet is to go with what feels good!
  • I needed this reminder today! My waist is 32", I am within the .6 ratio, yet I am still 42% bf. Sigh.
  • There are some really adorable jeans o stole from my older sister's closet that I have always said are my Goal jeans. I want to get rid of the pooch belly. Arrrgh when will it go away?? I want to go back to how I felt when I was fit. I felt so good. All the time. Even when I was depressed or sad. I didn't beat myself up…
