Hike 73/150 One of my absolute favourite hikes is Joffre Lakes, an hour northeast of Whistler BC. It's not a very long hike, only 8KM but the views are incredible. It takes 3 hours to drive there from my house and it's 100% worth it. Hiking up to the glaciers and then sitting on the edge of the lake is such a great…

I have not done SW. However, the things that have helped me in using Fitness Pal are entering and saving recipes I use often as well as entering foods I use often in my foods list. This is labor intensive at first but gets easier as you store foods/recipes. Good luck!

Regardless of the comment I just say thank you. I choose not to discuss my weight or health with others.

I'm 70 years old and have successfully lost 40 plus pounds and have about another 20 pounds I would like to lose. I've been at this for the past year and one-half. I do weigh and measure most of my foods. I don't try to be perfect in my calorie usage since I am a very social person and do not want to bother others with my…

Wow!! You look great and have made great progress. I'm with you about programs. I too lost and gained weight numerous times. MFP has been my answer. Down 35 pounds since January due to healthier eating (portion control) and walking. I still have about 20 pounds to my final goal. You are an inspiration helping me along the…

I have MFP set to lose 1.5 pounds per week. I have have been doing this since the middle of January 2018. So far I have lost over 35 pounds. I average about 1.1 pounds lost per week. I set MFP to sedentary and I eat back all of my exercise calories. (I still have about 20 pounds to lose to reach a normal BMI). My exercise…

I eat what ever I am in the mood for. I eat a variety of foods and try to keep things balanced. The only macro I pay attention to is protein because I always tend to be a little low. I lean toward eating more veggies and fruit. I also have at least one dessert/treat per day...and occasionally it is fruit. I am trying to…

I've lost 30 pounds since January 2018. Still would like to lose about 40 more. I calorie count and exercise by walking and do some body weight exercise. Consistency works.

I struggle with impatience. I have to remind myself that weight loss and physical fitness takes time and practice. I'm used to being able to fix things. I try to remind myself at the start of every day that I can see progress in the mirror. I'm down 29 pounds since January but probably have 40-50 more to go. I just say…
