Oprah buys 10% share in Weight Watchers
What does everyone think about this? Will Oprah be able to help the Weight Watchers brand? http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/business/wp/2015/10/19/oprah-grabs-a-slice-of-weight-watchers-but-the-diet-giant-might-still-be-doomed/

Clothes shopping is fun again! Size 18W to 14 misses and close to size 12!
I started out at 227 pounds and a size 18W and have now gotten down to 195.5 pounds, size 14 misses and I'm getting close to a size 12! Today I'm wearing size 14 jeggings which I never in my life thought I would ever feel comfortable wearing. I also tried on a pair of size 12 jeans in Kmart last night and they were…

Rule breakers and rebels wanted!
My opinion is that anyone who is losing weight counting calories is a rule breaker and a rebel. After all, we aren't following the CW (conventional wisdom) that says you need to follow xxx diet plan promoted by some personal trainer or celebrity to lose weight. After all, the general public is "too stupid" to realize that…

No more plus sized clothing for me!! Halfway to my goal
I've lost 24 pounds (about the weight of a one year-old child) over the past 9 months and I feel great! The first pic is from August 2014. I weighed 227 pounds, my heaviest weight ever. I had no energy and felt exhausted all the time. Wore size 18W clothes, almost heavy enough for 20 W. That's my daughter in the pic,…

Interesting article about weight loss and diets
I found this article on msn and thought it was interesting. I think the title is misleading though. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/how-americans-can-lose-a-lot-of-weight-without-giving-up-a-calorie/ar-AAdyEZR?ocid=ieslice I also thought this observation was eye-opening: "The scenarios assume a daily diet of 3,688…

Weight loss after 40 is possible
I'm 47 and I just started counting calories and exercising about 2 months ago. Starting weight was 227 lbs (my heaviest ever!) and current weight is 216.8 lbs. I've lost 10 pounds so far, 40 more to go. The weight didn't start to come off for about 3 weeks, which is frustrating. I though I was doing something wrong, eating…

What's your favorite flavor of yogurt, and what's the worst flavor of yogurt you've ever tasted?
My all-time favorite flavor is cherry. I found it (finally!) in a light version, Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt Cherry. It's really yummy, has no artificial sweeteners and is only 80 calories. Worst flavor I have ever tasted is coffee flavored yogurt, any brand. Coffee is for drinking in my opinion :)

A dieter walks into a Dunkin Donuts...
Today I went out with two of my co-workers for lunch. Usually we go somewhere with calorie-laden food and today was no exception, as I hadn't been out to lunch with them since before I started my diet two weeks ago. When we pulled into Dunkin Donuts I could feel my resolve beginning to crumble, but reasoned that I had been…

Hi everyone, I'm new here and my goal is to lose 50 pounds
Hi everyone, my name is Karen and I'm new here. My goal is to lose 50 pounds, hopefully by mid-2015 or sooner. I'm in my 40's and I've been stuck at 225 pound for a few years now. I know it's more of a challenge to lose weight after 40 and it seems like my metabolism is conspiring against me to lose even a few pounds :) I…
