Most annoying fellow gym denizen...
My gym has one bench press station that is constantly in use. I nominate the guy who got there 10 seconds before me, put 2.5lb plates on the bar, straddled the bench, and proceeded to do bicep curls... Without even turning my head, I could see three other locations/setups where one could do bicep curls with 50lbs...

Meditation for stress relief & better health - any pointers?
All - does anyone practice meditation regularly for stress relief? Do you have any recommendations for how to get started, or general tips & pointers? I've made really good progress with fixing my diet and exercise routine, and stress is the remaining health issue I'd like to improve on. Thanks.

Wrists sore after squatting
My wrists are sore after barbell back squats. I try to hold the bar fairly low as it's more comfortable on my back. How far out do you hold the bar, and at what angle do you hold you wrists? I'm at 125 pounds, so not super heavy, but not light either.

Lots of factors colliding - houseguests, my husband being out of town, work stress, and my daughter's birthday, complete with way more cake than we needed for the party. I literally ate two meals of cake yesterday.…

Stupidest weight lifting question ever
I'd like to listen music on my iPhone while I lift weights. I have an uncomfortable arm band for it, but I never use it - just pop the iPhone on the console of the treadmill or in my pocket if out for a run. I don't want to get another, smaller iPod or similar, which would be easier to carry. What do you use?

Success so far - looking for friends so we can support each other!
I have been a little overweight my entire adult life, but the birth of my daughter almost 2 years ago was the start of packing on a ridiculous about of weight. I've been athletic my entire life (used to compete in triathlons, ran 2 marathons a few years back, have been working with a trainer for the past 18 months) so I am…
