I have lost over 70 pounds doing low carb and am now with 5 pounds of my goal weight. For the past week, I have switched to counting calories using MFP's daily suggested calorie allowance and have gained 6 pounds in 4 days!!!! What? I have stayed around 1200-1600 calories a day.
