Carbs cut them completely or are the okay in moderation. Iv had a LOT of people say they lost so much by just ditching the carbs. Whats your opinion?

So if i am under my calorie intake and i am burning calories with exercise is that when you start losing weight ? Or do i have to burn off all the calories i eat with exercise completely to lose weight? I would love a better understanding of how weight loss really works.
Iv been doing pretty well with my diet and exercise. My goal is to lose 2lbs a week. This is week one and i did reach my goal and lost 2lbs. I would like an extra edge on losing weight. Getting to the point.. hydroxycut cut yay..or nay?
