I'm new here, and fairly new to long distance running. Is there a rule of thumb for hours of rest needed between runs? How much rest is needed after a 5-6 mile 5.5 mph run? Your thoughts on a Christmas Meal freebie?
We're hosting a Christmas Day Potluck and the menu is already stacked with lots of carbs, cheese, sugar, fat and booze. I'm planning on sticking to my meal replacement smoothies for breakfast and lunch, then allowing indulgence for dinner. Good idea? Bad idea?
