Current Projects?
Hello, I'm new to MFP but not new to knitting and crochet! I also do bead work when my hands permit me. I was wondering what everyone is currently working on! I'm wheelchair bound for the moment, so I'm working on a lap blanket for myself. It gets cold here in New Mexico, and having to wait for the paratransit to pick me…

Hello everyone!
Blessings and greetings to you all! I just wanted to give a short note, to let you know I haven't left MFP or the group. My surgery went well, and so far the healing is very good. I get my first x-rays in a couple of weeks, to see if the bone is finally healing. I've also had a weight loss setback, in that my kitchen scale…

Upcoming Surgery, 2/28/2017
Blessings everyone, I know it has been a while since I've posted. Back in June 2016, I had surgery to remove a bunion and correct the alignment of my big toe. New Calendar Events!
Blessing my Brothers and Sisters! I have added a few novenas for the month of March to the Events calendar! The novena itself is listed in the event, along with the source I got it from. I will…

Traditional Catholic Prayers
I thought I would list some traditional Catholic prayers here, in case anyone desires to use one. Since this is a weight loss support group, in addition to being a spiritual support group, I thought I'd start with the meal blessings. I have included the Latin version as well, where available (I am not a Latin scholar, so I…

I'd like to nominate a Patron Saint for our MFP group!
After doing a quick peek, I didn't see any reference to having chosen a Patron Saint for our MFP group, and I think it might help us, knowing that some of those blessed enough to be given sainthood shared in our weight loss struggles. So, after combing the web a little, I'd like to nominate St. Mochta, who was also one of…

Hello!
I am new to MFP, but not Catholicism. I do struggle with it, just as I struggle with my weight, so I guess it's apropos that I would find this group. I tend to lean more toward the 'traditional' end of the spectrum (before the Vatican II Council), but there are some modern changes I think are great. My hope is that while…
