Not counting fruits and veggies
I find when I track calories I seem to start avoiding fruits. My head says, “well, that banana is more calories than that chocolate smoothie bar so go for the tastier option.” . Not a great habit to get into. I try to stay within a 1200-1600 cal day (depending on exercise). I was thinking of combining the weight watchers…

New Runner’s Bursitis
Hey, curious if anyone has ever developed bursitis from running? I started last summer (very short distances) and developed pain in my right hip. It went away after a few days so I figured it was a pulled muscle. I stopped running during the cold winter periods and restarted and now the pain is permanent. I went to a…

Needing Opinions!!
I have been struggling with losing weight since January. I feel like I am constantly adjusting and re-adjusting my plan and it’s been a bit discouraging but I’m still hanging on. So here is my new plan, I have approximately 40 lbs to lose. I am now sticking to a 1500 cal day with a minimum deficit of 750 cals for 6 days a…

MFP calories and weight loss
Howdy, I have been on here for exactly a month. I admittedly fell off the wagon around my bday week which included vday and climbed back on a week ago. I started at 175 and am currently at 173 (went down to 170 but gained it back due to extended bday shenanigans). Question, if I am in the green at the end of the day…

Fitbit Cals vs MFP Cals and extra Cals from Workouts
Hi all, trying to get the hang of it all. First, MFP states 1200 cals (plus extra from exercise) to lose 2 lbs a week. Fitbit gives me 996 cals (seems a bit too low) for 2 lbs a week. What gives? Secondly, am I sabotaging myself by consuming the extra cals given from exercise on MFP? Trust me, I want to eat them but I left…

"Cheat" Meal
Hi, I have a caloric intake of 1200/day. If I stick to 1200/cal 6 days a week, is it okay to have a (what I call) a freedom meal once a week? I feel it's the only way to not feel trapped. Every Saturday my partner and I go out for a meal. We are both big craft beer drinkers too (which I've limited to 2 beers a week). I…
