I ate 2200 calories today and burned 1200, so my net is under 1200...this means I'm on the right path to weight loss? Using kitchen scale and Garmin 235 to track.

Just as the title says, I'd like to befriend some members of this website that use and believe in this approach, as I'm a first timer and am a bit nervous. My food log is open for all to see, and I use a kitchen scale and Garmin 235 to track everything that matters.

Can someone explain this to me, please? Will I really lose weight if I net 1200 calories at the end of the day? Say, even if I eat 2500 calories and then burn off calories until I am netting 1200?
