Is fasting bad for people with diabetes? Or maybe just one meal a day— is that harmful?

Quick foods
I’m often too tired to do anything but get something out of the fridge to eat as is or put in microwave. I’m trying to avoid carbs and dairy. I have peanut butter, olives and pickles as options. Any suggestions?

Pre diabetes and high cholesterol
I’ve been diagnosed with pre diabetes and high cholesterol. The thing is, I rarely eat processed foods and I got my weight is 150 lbs at 5’2 1/2”. I’m not a heavy carbs or sugar eater. I’m not sure what else I can do as far as eating. I don’t exercise as much as I should, so I can improve on that. Any suggestions?
