Apple Watch, confused with MFP integration
Can somebody explain the way MFP works with the Apple Watch as i'm completely confused. The only form of exercise i do is walking. I've hardly done any today, but still 6200 steps, but its only added 45 calories to MFP. The Activity App on the iPhone says i have done 340 active calories, 2147 total. If i tell the watch i'm…

Sweet after savoury meal?
Anybody else have to have something sweet even though you are physically stuffed after say a vegetable meal? Its my biggest problem in controlling calories, my mouth goes bonkers for sweet and it ends up doubling my calories. I've just had some veg, and i was stuffed from it, but i have just eaten 4 chocolate biscuits at…

Step count, calorie reading, is it right?
Whilst i know they are only estimates and nothing is exact, my step count in MFP for today says 13,444 steps is 240 calories. (It was similar yesterday and the day before), it just seems quite low for a 6ft 3 , Male, 180lbs. I would expect closer to 500. Am i wrong? Its getting the step count from my Apple Watch. If i load…

Help, body composition, resistance training? Its all new to me
As I'm close to the lower end of my BMI its has been suggested by others in another thread that i should do some resistance / weight training type of stuff instead of doing just cardio to get a better body. Ive still got the spare tyre around my stomach (although no where near the size it use to be), and I'm still a 34"…

Which reading should i believe?
Now I only want to lose just over 1 stone and free time is getting tighter i want reduce my deficit. So i will go from 2lb a week to 1lb a week as i won't be able to do as much walking. Obviously when you have a bigger deficit there is greater room for error and it not having too much of an effect. My issue is such massive…

Do the lbs make a much bigger difference body wise closer to goal?
Im 6ft 3 male, currently 12st 7lbs. I still have a lot of fat around my abdomen and my bum is still fat. The fat scales say i have 2st 8lbs of fat on my body, and i'm 20.9% body fat. When i look at my friends 1 is like a rake and he's 11stone and only 5ft 11. So since I'm only 1.5 stone heavier than him but a few inchs…

Struggling to keep to my calories now :(
I was originally over 18 stone in 2010, i used the Paul McKenna weight loss method to get down to 15 stone which worked well, but i stopped following it, but managed to maintain that weight roughly so not too bad. Then in early 2012 i decided to try MFP and got down from 15 stone to 12st 4lbs in the first 7/8 months of…

Frozen vs Fresh?
So i got my self a Nutribullet and i love the smoothies it makes with fresh fruit like strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and spinach and kale added. But its starting to get expensive as fresh fruit aint cheap. So i thought i would try the frozen versions as its cheaper, but I'm not as keen on the taste, not as rich…

Low net calorie intake , is it as bad as gross?
Some days I'm netting 800 calories, which is low for a 6ft 3 male, but gross i've eaten like 2300 calories, this is normally on weekends when i can walk upwards of 20 miles in 1 day, its the only exercise i enjoy. I do eat some exercise calories back if i am hungry (my BMR is about 1900, so physically consuming more than…

Fitbit or Fuelband
I cannot decide which one to get. I only do walking (which i really enjoy) The fuelband looks smarter, but costs more, read a few reviews and still cannot make my mind up, seen some say the fuelband is only good if you run, which i don't. Anybody got any experience of both or one with myfitnesspal?

When should i slow down?
I have dropped from 15st down to 12st 4lbs since January, I'm 6ft 3in tall, male. I have had MFP set to 2lb loss a week since then and i lose about half a stone a month. I keep seeing on the forums people saying when you have less than 20lbs to go before goal you should slow the weight loss down, but never why you should.…

How active am i?
Just curious as to how active i would class my self. I walk at 3.5 miles an hour and do 6 to 7 35 minute/ 2 miles walks a day, which adds up to 12-14 miles a day walking on purpose. Sometimes up to 18 miles on weekend days so doing around 100 miles a week purpose walking, my pedometer which i use only when purpose walking…
